Tomtom GO 920 GPS Receiver - Page 4 Questions & Answers
What is the bluetooth passkey code?
When you are pairing your TOMTOM with a BlueTooth-enabled cellular phone, your TomTom will ask you to enter "0000" when the phone asks for a pin. In order not to have to enter the pass code every time you want to connect to the phone, declare the TomTom as a trusted device.
When you are pairing the two make sure that the phone is "visible for xxxx minutes" or "always visible".
My tomtom 920 keeps shuting down every 2min.gives
If the battery is flat or dead it will never go on until you either
charge the battery or change it. Batteries have a life of 2-3 years if used correctly.
That is charged using an AC source and definitely not
starting the engine while the unit is plugged in.
1. Ensure that the battery is fully charged.
2. Try with different battery to determine whether the issue is with the battery or with the GPS device.
Hope this will help you.
Good Luck!!!!!!!

Won't turn off
If the power button is not allowing you to turn the satellite off. You should be able to go into the options and choose to have the system turn off after it is unplugged. Then, plug it in if it is not already and unplug it again. It should tell you that the TomTom is powering down and give you a ten second countdown. Then it should turn off. Be careful though; if it is in fact the power button, then you may not be able turn it back on!
Hi i got one from ebay and is has a password on it
My first suggestion would be to contact the seller.
other than that you could try a hard reset but that is not always 100%
If you have an SD card in try removing that before you power up.
You may also want to try the hard reset.
Paper clip in the tiny hole by the card slot.
Push it in firmly whilst the unit is powered up (not too hard) for about 3 seconds then release
You may have to power down and then up again and even hold down the power button a little longer the first time you do this.
Tomtom 920 bluetooth disabled
repair both ...start fresh from start.....do a hard restart on the TomTom...this is located on the last menu of your tomtom...Factory reset...it will erase recent destinations and favorites....but it usually clears the tomtom....Now try to repair both the phone and the tomtom
Chosen a language and cannot return to English
remove your sd card and reset the unit by using a paper clip and insert it in the tiny hole on the bottom where it says reset, once it comes back up you will see a screen that you wont understand but click the tab in the lower right hand side then tap the center of the next screen (should be the map) then keep clicking the lower right tab on each page till you come to the language page, then select which ever language you want.

Hello akwadsworth,
It sounds like you need to calibrate your screen. Go to the main menu and then preferences, on one of the menus in preferences should be an option to calibrate your screen. Follow the on screen instructions and you should be fine.
Post back if that does not work. Thank you for choosing Fixya!
