Frigidaire GLEH1642DS Front Load Stacked Washer/Dryer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I have a gleh1642fs4 model that drum will not
I have a GLEH16242 Frigidaire/Electrolux stacking washer/dryer. The main bearing went out on the washer. I did the expensive fix of replacing the outer drum/bearing assembly in hope of nothing going wrong. Everything went together well, but now it won't go into high speed spin. It does if I have no clothes in it, but as soon as I introduce clothes it only does the 'medium spin' but never advances to the high. I've changed shocks, confirmed the door switch is working properly and double checked level. Even placed it on a big thick sheet of plywood in hops of stabilizing it more. It does have a wobble to it when it starts spinning, but when it kicks into medium spin, is smooths out.

Front loader not spinning
Hello friend, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that your Frigidaire washer is not spinning I would suggest checking the drain hose to assure it is not restricted or too long. If the hose checks out you could have an issue within your belt, pulley, motor, or control.
Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend having a professional come out to properly diagnose and repair your appliance. -Matt

Dryer won't poet up but door light comes on
Good Morning Joel,
I understand the dryer on your laundry center, model# GLEH1642DS, will not power up, but the door light comes on. Please try resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

What could it be
Hello Reese,
I see that you're having a Problem with your Frigidaire GLEH1642DS Front Load Stacked Washer/Dryer. I see that the washer will not work until dryer is turned on and the dryer will not heat. I would recommend giving the appliance a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or switching the circuit breaker off that the appliance is attached to. When you do this you will want to leave it off for 3-5 minutes. Once the 3-5 minutes has elapsed, bring power back on and try to restart it. If you are still having trouble with the washer not working until dryer is turned on and the dryer will not heat. I would suggest contacting your local authorized technician to diagnose and see why you keep receiving this error code.
-Best Regards-

Flame on dryer goes on off
see this causes and use the common sense.God bless you
If your dryer doesn't heat, check these:
Igniter
Gas valve coils
Thermal fuse
Igniter
Modern
gas dryers use an electric igniter to ignite the gas from the gas
valve. When it's working properly, the igniter glows bright orange. When
it burns out, the dryer tumbles but there's no heat because the gas
can't ignite. When the igniter burns out, you need to replace it. If the
igniter is held by a tension bracket, you very well may need to replace
the bracket too. To determine if the igniter is burned out, watch the part testing video at the bottom of this page.
The
igniter is inside the dryer housing, near the bottom front, usually in a
cone-shaped metal tube (the force cone). It's about 2 inches long. It's
mounted to the far end of the burner tube, and it has two wires
attached to it--or to the tension bracket, if there is one.
Gas valve coils
Watch
the igniter. Does it glow bright orange, then shut off without igniting
the gas? (When the gas ignites there's a large blue flame.) If so,
there may be defective coils on the gas valve. Mounted on the top of
modern gas valves, there are black electrical coils. The coils, when
energized, open the gas valve. If one or more of the coils are
defective, the valve doesn't open and the gas cannot ignite. Because
it's often difficult to properly test the coils, it's usually best to
replace both (all) of them at the same time.
Thermal fuse
On
many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows
if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back
cover panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in
black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing.
If
the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer
either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to
inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse to put the
dryer back into operation. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.) To
determine if the thermal fuse has blown out, watch the part testing video at the bottom of this page.

Dryer is tumbling but there
The most likely suspect is the heater assembly, Part #131475300 But as you can see in the photo you are going to have to disassemble the drum to get to it (Item 15 in the photo)

Frigidaire GLEH1642FS washer/dryer stacked unit:
The buzzers (there are two, one for the washer, one for the dryer) are behind the control panel. 6 screws must be removed to access the back of the control panel: 2 for the service panel, the 2 outer screws at the base of the control panel, then the 2 much smaller-sized screws.
The buzzers, in my model, are small, un-buzzer-like-looking little black boxes stamped with the brand name 'Ark-less'.
The buzzer for the dryer is connected to 2 contacts on the back of the dryer timer, the contacts labeled 'H' and 'C'.
Once you've identified the buzzer for the dryer, you should be able to find the one for the washer. It's connected by one white and one grey wire.
You should be able to verify this info using the wiring diagram, which will be located behind the service panel. If I remember correctly, the buzzers were labeled 'signal' on the diagram.
