Repair manual
Hello William, I highly recommended to fully installed and
connect the washer properly to accurately determine if the unit will spin or
not. Once that is done, and the issue persists, often it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose
of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so,
the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the
washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly,
faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it
could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend
contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.
Why is my washer not starting
see this steps and fix it. God bless youCheck Power
Check the outlet by plugging an appliance into the same outlet the
washer was plugged into an running the appliance a hair dryer works good
for this it will draw some amperage. If it works fine move on.
Control
To check the control remove the top panel and then remove the console to
access the wiring to the control. Find the wire feeding the control
from the main power cord. If you cannot visually see this refer to the
tech sheet or service manual. Connect voltmeter to the 2 wires feeding
the control if it is recieving power and it does not respond replace the control board

Magnet
if it's a small rectangular magnet that appears, in our case, fell out, when you add detergent, softener, etc...the magnet goes on the right hand bottom corner of the drawer face, straight up and down, not sideways. this is evidently some type of sensor allowing the washer to start. we had an error code of "ddo" when the magnet fell out.
Water does not come on
Hello Keith - First, is the house valve(s) fully turn on? If
they are then more than likely the issue is because the washer possibly has a
faulty switch that does not allow the valve inside to turn or a kinked fill
hose. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household
circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait approximately ten
minutes and then turn on the unit. However if issue persists, then it could also
potentially mean a number of things: water valve faults, faulty control board,
pressure switch or wiring failure. Because it could be a number of any one of
several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to
properly diagnose and repair the unit.
Repair manual
Good Afternoon Brenda - Generally speaking, washer machines do not have a filter. Depending on your particular model the unit may have a coin trap. Below are some basic troubleshooting steps you may wish to follow to locate and clean the coin trap:
- Unplug the unit.
- Remove the bottom front access panel. There are two screws one on right and one on the left towards the bottom of the front panel.
- Now that the panel is removed look inside on the bottom right hand side there is a black looking accordion thing. This is the coin trap.
- Clean the drum out with as much water as possible that you can remove and have towels ready. The next step you will have the remaining water come out of the bottom of the drum and onto the floor.
- At the top of the coin trap where it is attached to the drum is a silver spring with a silver screw. Loosen the screw and wiggle the coin trap down from the drum.
- Reach inside the coin trap and clean what is inside of it out.
- Put the unit back together following the same steps backwards.
Hope this information proves to be helpful!
Technika loading washing machine service manual
Hello notnan24 - Based on the symptoms you are describing, you may either have a communication error from the main control board or the timer itself may not be operating correctly. If you noticed a humming noise, it could either be a clogged drainage hose or pump that needs to be cleaned, or it could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.
E70
Hello Michelle - Typically, error code E70 indicates that the water temperatures are not correct. Often this is caused because the hoses are wrongly connected to the valves. Check the hoses and make sure they are located on the correct faucet and valve. Confirm that there aren't any restrictions or kinks in the drain hose as well. If the issue persists, it would be advisable to connect with an experienced applaince repair tech to proceed further.
Cycle pauses after 1 minute
Hello Peter - Often when "PAU" displays on the screens it indicates that the door is not securely latched or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "START" once to resume cycle. If it proves to be ineffective, reprogram the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the washer back on. If the issue persists, then more than likely it has a faulty door latch or a communication error with the control board. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.
Door is closed, and washer still says its open
Hello leximoma - I understand that your door indicates it is open and your washer will not operate. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately 2 minutes and turn on the washer. Select a normal cycle and verify if the washer will start. If the washer will not operate then it possibly have a faulty door lock assembly or a communication problem with the control board. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.
Washer Spin Cycle doesn't work - sometimes
Hello T Wright - Based on the symptoms you are describing, it sounds like more than likely the unit is sensing an out of balance load, which could be too light or to heavy of a load, and the unit will not advance to high speed spin. However, often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.
