We are using a trailer but we are taking it 250 miles and we would prefer to lay it down so it doesn't catch the wind.
It should be fine. Just make sure that any water that comes out doesn't get in the electrical parts of the units. Good luck. Any questions feel free to ask. Please rate me so I know if I helped you. Thanks.

Frigidaire stackable gallery Dryer drum has come loose, how do I tighten it?
These machines have a metal ball (like a small trailer hitch ball) mounted on the rear of the drum that rides in a plastic saddle mounted on the rear of the machine,
The parts that you need to replace would be the plastic glides mounted in the front of the drum that run on teflon pads glued to the rim around the door. When they get bad you start to notice dammaged clothing.
The drum is allowed to sag down enough that clothing can get into the gap at the bottom and as the drum turns upward the items get pinched when the gap closes at the top.
All these parts can be replaced but be prepared if you do it yourself, this is a tough machine to work on.
Good Luck
Quentin

Is it possible to separate the washer from the dryer in a stacked Combo unit? We need to get it out of the basement and it may be too big unless we can separate it into two pieces... Thanks for any help...
Tried this before and is a major undertaking. The front angle panel has to be removed before you can access the rear panel, and then all of the electrical connections need to be traced and disconnected. This is a job for a tech and not recommended. I would suggest you measure, and then measure again and find a way to remove it in one piece, maybe even out a window if one is big enough.

I have a frigidaire stackable washer/dryer model number FEx831cs0. The washer is working just find but the dryer for a few weeks has been making the worst screeching sounding in the world. I am not sure if it is a belt of if the bearings need to be changed out can anyone help??
A loose belt often makes a squeak that pulsates with the clothes hitting the paddles in the drum. It's probably the upper drum glide or rear bearing. If it's a constant screech coming from the front, it's probably the glide. If the noise seems to be in the back, suspect the bearing. You might check for a sock or something small that is stuck somewhere between the drum and the dryer.

Bearing kit: http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Drum-Bearing-Kit/1851?modelNumber=FEX831CS0
Neither are very difficult to repair.

Good luck.

Hi my washer model is frigidaire fex831.
The washer fills but will not agitate. It does fill and it definately spins. It does not agitate in any mode. In fact the only thing getting agitated is me! Ha ha!
I wonder if you could diagnose this.
Thank you,
Jamie Hershberger

Hi, I have a Frigidaire Stack washer/dryer m # FEX831CSO. The water doesnt shut off and overflows the tub. When I shut the power off at control knob tub stops filling. Can anyone give suggestion how to fix? thanks, Walter
Hi, if your washer is overfilling/overflows the tub, check these:
Water-inlet valve
A defect in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it. If this occurs, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub. In time, the water may accumulate substantially. If this happens, you need to replace the valve.
Water-level switch
A defect--or an obstruction--in the water-level switch may mean that it can't tell the water to shut off. So the machine overflows. This switch senses the water level in the clothes tub. It's usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. You can either clear any obstruction in the tube or replace the water-level switch.

I have a Frigidaire, Electrolux washer dryer combo. The Model number is GLET1031CSO. Neither the washer nor the dryer will work unless the washer is set on spin cycle. There seems to be no power to the unit, but when the washer is turned on with the dial turned to spin and I start the dryer, they both start up and run until the washer cycle ends - then they both stop. I opened the unit up and can't find any wires out of place, but I'm pretty sure it is an electrical problem. Any ideas?
Are you connected to a 30 amp breaker w/ 30 amp wire?

My washer squeals during spin cycle model frigidaire fex831cso. Sometimes it does it on the highest speed it reaches other times at slow speeds. One thing that is constant is... once it starts squealing the volume of the squeal gets louder as the spinning slows. If you immediately start it up it goes away for about 2 minutes and starts again. No burning smells only the deafining squealing. Is this a belt or bearing? and can it be fixed. Thank you!
The belt on my was the culpret. The washer belt has a spring loaded idler. Unplug power and move the idler off of the belt and use a spring hook or longnose vice grips to pull spring out of slot and into the next slot closser to you. There are 5 slotts. Push idler back by hand and put belt back on it. Your done. The transmission just spins as a unit in spin cycle, it does sit on top of a bearing, but that didn't seem to be the problem. If the belt tension doesn't fix it, put some grease and oil in the bearing or replace it.
Eventually you will need a new belt so order one now.
