You probably have dry bearings from all the heat over the years. Unplug the unit and remove the back to expose the bearing and shaft. Using a light oil such as 3-in-1 squirt oil into the bearing and let it soak in. Do this several times and keep a rag under the bearing to catch any excess oil. Odds are that with a little lubricant the dryer will quiet down and work fine for many more years. This would also be a good time to clean any lint and dust bunnies out of the unit. The machine does not exist as you have written it. There are two likely reasons The door switch has failed and hasn't passed the self test procedure. or the control board / timer has failed. Try power cycling it. Remove the mains plug for an hour. It is has an On Off button press it for a minute. For a knob, full it and leave two minutes. Hi, Please attempts to use oil to help gently open the door . Or you can start the machine and attempt to open the door then. Running the machine might free up the lock somehow. Thank you.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to Frigidaire. Normally, you have to remove the top of the siphon. Cleaning the tray often doesn't work. Or you can remove the drawer, turn it over and run hot water into the hole until it clears.
