Remote control works, but the
Hello
Have you checked the remote control for its infrared light emmission?. If your remote controls infrared emmission is ok, then the fault must be in the remote sensor inside your micro theater system. This part comes just behind its infrared window. It is a three terminal device called IR sensor. You just check your remote handset once more. If you have a cellphone with camera option, put the phone on camera mode, and place the remote hanset in front of the camera lens, at about a feet away or so, and push each button on the remote hanset. If infrared rays are emitted, the camera will sense it, and you can see its image on its screen. If it is ok, then replace the remote sensor stated above, with a same type and number. Its number will be printed on its body [Laser marked]. Replace it with exact type and number, as it is a critical part. OK.
