First try using the FUNCTION key combination "Fn" then F2

Next if this is not working then,go to my network places(To go to my network places:my computers left handside you wil get it) click it, then click on the option view network connections, then right handside click on wireless network connections, then right click and select properties, you wil get a window in that select wireless connection and check whether the first option is ticked or not.

Try to restore your PC to the backdated point in SYSTEM RESTORE menu in control panel. Then try to switch ON wireless again. If this step does'nt work it means your Hardware (wireless adapter) is malfunction. Replace with a new one (USB Wireless adapter)

If your adapter /charger has low voltage it will not properly charge the battery, any battery. Go that route and try another adapter..

Hello, If your system is capable of doing a Recovery via Hidden Partition on Hard Drive, you can access it by Pressing Alt + F10 and choose Recovery Option.

1. On your laptop turn ON the wireless switch, it may be on the side or in front.

2. After turning ON the wireless switch the wireless light will turn ON

3. Click on "Start" and click on "Run" type "ncpa.cpl" and click "OK"

4. "Network connections" window will open

5. In "Network connection" right click on "wireless network connection" and left click on "view available wireless networks"

6. You will get a window showing all the wireless networks in range

7. Click on the wireless network you want to connect to and click "connect"

8. If it is a secured wireless network you will be prompted to enter the password or else you will be connected directly

9. If it prompts you for a password, type the password and reconfirm the same in the 2nd box and click connect.

10. After a few seconds you will be connected to the wireless network.

I suggest you plug into the internet using an ethernet cable and then open the device manager and ask it to search for an updated driver. I just had to do that with my Windows 7.

could be the wrong driver. or try going into your control panel and set from display settings.

mine is f5.

goto your start menu and typ in restore it should give you all you need to know

try uninstall the driver and then reinstall the driver

make sure the drivers are installed.and make sure your wifi is turnd on.

you need to take all the small screws from around the edge of the screen then very slowley pull it away.then pull the screen very slowley away from its case and behind the screen you will have ribbins on the back of the screen pull them of, then you take of the converter thats at the bottom the screen,and to put it back just do it the same way you took it off.

plug in the ethernet cable or cat5 into laptop. then go to the keyboard and click on the windows key. go to computer then with the right mouse botton click it. select manage. in the new menu. select manege devices. look for the wifi. remove it. refresh. it will remove it. reboot pc. it will reinstall new driver for the wifi. if it does not work. wifi card is busted. on my own experience it was the wifi card no good. good luck

Hi there, this may work, try this. Take off laptop battery, remove power cord, turn laptop upside down. Just take off screws on the covers you see, which let you see HDD, Memory,Wireless card,.... , take off the cover or check on line for service manual for your specific model on how to remove the plastic cover/ covers, which is covering the CMOS battery which is some time wrapped up with yellow tape. Just remove the battery by holding on the white connector which attached to the motherboard with black and red wires. Gently pull from the motherboard. Now without the CMOS battery, connect power cord and turn on the laptop, it should turn on. Now turn off , remove the power cord, check voltage on battery , it should measure very close to 3volt (2.5 to 3.0 volt), otherwise get a new one, connect the battery, put back covers, and now you set a new password.

Your battery needs a calibration, follow the instruction below to calibrate the battery.

1. With Windows Vista, navigate to Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Power Options
2. Click "Change Plan Settings".
3. Set all tabs to "Never" underneath "On Battery" column.
4. Click "Change advanced power settings".
5. Set Sleep > Hibernate after to 0 or Never.
6. Set Battery > Critical Battery Level to 0.
7. Click on "OK", then "Save Changes".

This is the only time that we recommend taking the battery all the way down to zero percent. Unplug the ac adapter, and let the battery drain all the way down until the laptop shuts off. Then plug the AC adapter back in, and let it recharge to 100% or where it actually reaches. You may need to repeat the cycle 2-3 times before it actually reaches 100%.

Note: After the calibration is done, change the power options settings back to what it was as they will help you save power. Also, when a power source is available dont run the laptop on battery, it will increase the battery life.
