Start taking your laptop apart piece by piece and test it after each removed component:
1. Remove the hard drive and test the laptop.
2. Remove the DVD drive and test the laptop.
3. Remove the wireless card and test the laptop.
4. Unplug the display panel from the motherboard/video card and test the laptop.
etc....
Continue taking it apart until you have only three major components connected: motherboard (with video card), processor, and memory. If you still experience the same problem, most likely it's bad motherboard.
By the way, before you start, try reconnecting the memory module. If you have two modules installed, try removing them one by one and test the laptop with each one separately.

As you have already contacted HP and they said that the max ram you can install is only 2GB then you cannot install more. They would provide the correct information. The laptophardware might support only 2GB max. This would be based on the hardware of the laptop

Toshiba Laptop Won't Boot
Keep pressing F8 as your computer boots until you get to the windows boot menu. There should be an option that says "Disable automatic restart on system failure" Then select "Windows XP" from the next menu to start booting windows. When it gets to the point with the blue screen of death it will not restart instantly but sit and wait. Then you can read everything.
Usually the second paragraph is the most useful and should give you a rough idea of what is going on. If you dont understand it just google it and you should find a solution.
My hp pavilion tx1000 laptop display got off( not
Two possibilities, your backlight is loose and needs checking or even replacement, or the cable connecting your screen is loose or mulfunctional. The first case if the most likely and common case. Considering how narrowly your screen connects with the rest of the computer and how on many occassions people 'just looove' to swing that screen around, it comes as no surprise that after a while it would start acting up. If you're into dismantling and reassembling computers, well, try and access the cables connecting your scree, check them and make sure they are okay, next, check your backlight and all its connections just to make sure everything is seated okay [all the above will require that you open a few things here and there] Good luck
Everytime when I boot up it gives the
Sounds like a serious breakdown of windows and its files. I would do a check disk using the windows CD. Check disk is sometimes a miracle worker. If that doesnt work, then do a repair using your windows disk. If you need further instructions on how to do this, please ask.
Screen went balck
If you can find a monitor to hook up to the monitor port on the side of your laptop please do so. If your screen pops up on your monitor than this is a sign that your screen on your laptop or a part pertaining to it is loose or broken. If not than it could mean bigger issues, but try that first. Thanks and Good Luck!
Removing virtual drive
It depends what program you used to add it in the first place. Open the software and look for settings, or just uninstall it.

What does a HP laptop notebook with model number A6Y530A look like
learn to google mate.
this is no secret, gee millions sold.
A6Y530A
the partsurfer shows true model, and fails
this is the only post here ever asking for reverse code lookups
on models fake, and is not easy in vast cases
I guess you have no such PC, (look like)
so why ask this>? what prompted this quest>? not told
why not ask seller for photos of it if this is a pre sales question , is it>?
google and bing and HP all show that model # is BOGUS
so go back to your sell and ask the we can not guess PCs ever.
HP product ID# is best on the service tag for SURE.
where did you see this number, not told.
or that number is some 20+ year old COMPAQ PC ,lost in the sands of time, and no google hits.
you posted to HP forum, (not real) Hp.com is real
Hp pavilion g series manual
what does not working mean (KBD) dead, or 1 key bad or row. what?
symptoms matter most, for sure in a LAPTOP IS IT
the word Pavilion is on laptops and desktop, dig?
G mean zero , the service tag does not just say "G" sorry.
easy peasy lemon squeezy
HP.com
complex URL no?
go there
tell them your model # or better the service tag code ! .
then magically HP puts you on YOUR service support page
and all manuals and all driver before your eyes. amazing no?
NO told at all
or of a laptop or desktop or what./?
you posted ANON so I can't just read other posts by you to learn what PC this is , no I can not.
there are over 100 PC called G series, and vast years.
some PCs by them G1 to 7 are generations, like
HP Pavilion g6-1029tx Notebook.
if you can find the service tag the product ID # is what matters most
this code includes (real model, version , options and country sold)
see this, older PCs by them had this.
see that , all matters but do not post SN/ or service codes in public.
mine: procuct code (nnnnnnABA#)

The airplane mode button is stuck on orange although my computer say's airplane mode off
old PCs do that, for many reasons. but no PC told at all just HP.
40 years of PCs ,10000 + models nobody can guess ever.
but I do have the answer, in pure generic form.
did you buy the PC like that used and bad Wifi. ?
- the wifi card is missing, as was super common 10+ years ago.
- someone put in the wrong card, not from HP list
- HP blacklists (bios blocks) none HP cards (wifi)
- the card needs a driver to work if not it is dead or 1/2 dead.
- the PC needs 1 more driver to make the wifi buttons all work , all buttons related, if not they are dead or act odd.
- The OS is infected, no OS told at all, not one clue nor if upgraded the OS, and not vast drivers are wrong or missing, (classic)
Im sure this this is not the free w10 upgrade, if it was that too kills drivers dead, for sure HP told you this unstated PC will not run W10 and has zero support from HP, on w10 AS YOUR SUPPORT PAGE WILL DISCLOSE TO YOU AT HP.COM
