After connecting the MP3, search for all files int he drive using a file search. Use a (*) to search for all files and chose files only in the location of the MP3. All files will come up on the screen with which you can check and delete. I would ask you to remove all files to a folder , format the MP3 memory and reload all safe files.
Mp3 files dont show up in sansa fuze music folder, but exist.
With my Sansa Clip I just have to make sure it is set to MSC, then I can always see the files in the Clip from my computer.
I transfer a lot of mp3 files to the Sansa Clip from a SmartCard with a Memorex TravelSync connected to both the Clip and a SmartCard reader.
Initially, I couldn't figure out how I could play them on the Clip but not see them when connected to a computer.
But when I set the USB Mode to MSC, I could see all the files.

Had a gpx mw3847 given to me. no cd with it. is
you shouldn't need a cd to install drivers. Windows XP and newer will automatically find and install the drivers. as far as organizing the songs, no, unless you can delete everything and start from the begining and sync just the music you want.
If you are using Windows Media Player to sync, it will put the songs on the player in the order you have them in the sync list.
If its just one song you like, there is a repeat one song option, push the middle button until it shows 'rep 1'.
Does my GPX MW3847 need to be on when I charge it?
You should be able to just plug in the usb cable and it will charge automatically, if your computer has the drivers installed for it. you may be able to test it with a Motorla wall charger to see if the battery will even take a charge.
