Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.

well u might have gone wrong u should charge ur walkman for abt 3 hrs first use untill full appears and it is recommended that even if u dont plan to use u r walkman u should atlest charge the battery once a while for battery mentainance try to reset ur update the player firmware.or even then if it dont comes send it to sony or have a converstion with sony support

Check a HOLD slide switch on mp3 player and slide it other side to turn Off HOLD function, mp3 will turn On and work as before.

hi mine freezes too when i try to open my photos on the walkman. but mine did work using the reset button, you might want to return it if you have receipt, if not you still got 1 year warranty with sony.you can also try connecting the player to the computer to see if it turns on and charges. thanx

it happens due to incorrcet format and try re formating using a card reader in pc and insert the same in walk man

Throw the damn thing against the wall.....

You will have to set the correct resolution of the image before transferring to the player.Pictures having very large resolution cannot be opened due to pixel limitations on the screen.Hope you are satisfied with my solution.Your valuable feedback would be appreciated.Thank for choosing Fixya.

My suggestion, I learned recently, is to place the device in a bowl of uncooked rice.

The Rice will absorb any liquids from inside.

You have to see if you have the program unfelled corecto in order that you could enter to your device

Enable hold by sliding the hold switch in the direction of the arrow. Sliding the hold switch in the opposite direction (away from the arrow) the hold function will release. If this doesn't work there is likely something else wrong with the player.

Ifthe rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall. ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.

This is happening because your player has shorted out. Take the unit apart as far as you are comfortable. Put all the parts into a baggy of dry rice for 2 days. After 2 days, put the player back together and test it again. What this will do is remove all the water from the phone, it will not however reset the water damage check. If that doesn't work you may have to contact the manufacture to see about repair.

The NWZ-S616F Walkman Player is not transferring the music using the SonicStage Software. Sony old Walkman player was using the SonicStage Software for transferring the files. You can use Windows Media Player 11 or higher, Media Manager for Walkman, Content Transfer Software or Windows Explorer for transferring the files to the Player.
Click here and select the operating System to download the Software for transferring the files.

Hi,

I suggest you to backup all the songs in the Walkman Player to the Computer and Format the Player.

Connect the Player to the Computer to charge it until FULL message is displayed.

Reset the Walkman Player. To reset it by pressing the RESET button with a small pin or similar object. You can also Format the Player if the Format option is available by accessing the Home Menu.

To Format the Player; press and hold the BACK/HOME button, select Settings-->Common Settings-->Format-->YES.

WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. If the memory is formatted, all files including the Operation Guide (If applicable to your model) stored in the player will be deleted. Be sure to verify the files stored in memory prior to formatting and export necessary files to the hard disk of your computer or other device.

Once the Format completes, reset the Player by pressing the Reset button located at the bottom of the Player using a sharp pointed object. Now you can transfer the required songs and files to the Player using the supplied Software or by dragging and dropping the songs through Windows Explorer. This will resolve the issue.
