Toshiba TDP-T45U DLP Projector Questions & Answers

Look for a "keystone" option in the menus, or possibly even directly on the remote itself. You should be able to adjust this one way or the other to digitally square up the image at the cost of some resolution and smoothness. Mind that it might instead have auto-reset itself because you moved the projector around also, some of them have an auto sensing function but it never works very well, might as well turn it off and tweak it manually. Also be sure to zero the keystone and physically true it up as best you can using the extendible legs before using the digital keystone to finish the job if necessary.
And thanks for being the first question I've seen out of a run of about ten which was both presented in full and understandable English sentences, and wasn't just something that could instead have been entered directly into google to get an easy answer... :-)

I heard a pop and now the projector only shows black and white.
The color wheel has failed in youtr projector. There are 4 pieces of glass in the color wheel which fit togeter in a "pie" formation and they are red, blue, yellow & clear. This wheel is spun by a motor. The glass is glued to the motor's hub, and, when it fails the glass segments are thown off the hub. This gives you a B&W picture because all of the light is allowed to shine through the optics all of the time. Replace the color wheel with Toshiba part no: 23125963. It will be about $65. No soldering is involved, just use care with the ribbon cable to the motor. You will need a no. 2 phillips screwdriver and a set of jeweles screwdrivers to do this.
Good Eve.,

For sure the broken glass bring about the blurringg image as the LCD image is not being projected with clarity.
You will need to use gloves to carefully remove the broken glass, remove then without damaging of the lens and the lamp.
Reset with the correct type.
I have a model and
hi,
First of all check the lamp hour . Reset the lamp hour and try again. It is recommended that reset lamp hour only after replacing the lamp. No matter, just reset the lamp hour. If problem doen't repeat the try to replace lamp.
Another possible problem is the faulty lamp cooling fan. Check the lamp cooling fan of your projector. maybe its has some problem.Do one thing, Remove the fan from the projector. In the fan there will be a specification sticker. Remove the sicker. now u can see a hole in the center. its the bearing part of the fan. put one drop of oil in it. u can use any type of lubricating oil. rotate the fan leafs with finger for some time. after that re-stick the spec sticker. insert the fan in the projector.
ok
The picture is still there but there is no color
The color wheel has probably been damaged or broken. Remove the lamp and look into the round aluminum housing. There should be a colored round glass wheel covering about 2/3 of the opening. If not there, you'll notice glass pieces on the bottom of the case. The part number is Toshiba MOTOR PJ TB30 CW 23125963 ~ $160. It is tricky to replace, so if your not used to working on electronic equipment, you would have to take it in for service. If the wheel is in place, It could also be a main board voltage problem. Good luck.

the tube referred to is the light tunnel. which in your case is not the problem. unfortunately the only thing you can do is give it a good slap on the top 3 inches behind the lens for an unlikely long term fix, or try reseating the main board to the light engine. if neither work then the main board or the light engine is bad.
