HelloLook at the number of blinks of the status light.[1] If it blinks at one cycle (0.5seconds On and 2.5seconds OFF) : Lamp cover error or lamp housing error. Replace the lamp cover or lamp housing correctly.[2] If it blinks 2 cycles (0.5 seconds ON and 0.5 seconds OFF): Temperature error. The projector is overheated. Move the projector to a cooler position. [3] if it blinks at 4 cycles (0.5 seconds ON and 0.5 seconds OFF): Fan error. Fans sill not work correctly.[4] If it bliks at 6 cycles (0.5 seconds ON and 0.5 seconds OFF): Lamp fails to light. Wait a full minute and then turn on again. [5] If it blinks continous (Red): Lamp has reached the end of its life. Lamp replacement messege will be displayed. Replace Lamp with same type and number. After replacement reset lamp hour. OK.

Need to go into the menu and find the option to reset. Choose the "reset filter hours" option.---Rick

I have solved that problems by replacing the plastic Lamp Cover. NEC says they wear out over the years due to the heat. If you have a spare VT700 about, swap covers and see if that works. or order one from NEC, thay cost 5 dollars.

HelloEnter the setup menu to show th setup window. Select the 'Installation' IN this window you can see the 'Control Panel Lock' option. If it is set to ON, may be now, set it "OFF". The control panel lock will be released. For more details, go to the page [37] of its user manual. If you haven't the manual with you now, send your email address to me by Fixya comment. have you changed anything recently in it. coud be a fuse, an overtemperature sensor open circuit, a bad power supply, a loose lamp cover or filter cover. The mains plug or cord may be dodgy. is the power switched on at the wall

Well first check the colour scheme of your monitor and of the projector.
If this doesn't work check the working hours of the lamp. Try cleaning the filters and if this doesn't solve your problem the best thing to do is to change the lamp of the device.
