Manufacturers of freezers do not give the option of running the machine much above that temperature. Normal operating temperature for a freezer is about -2 to about 8 above F.
Otherwise people could accidentally set the temp too warm and cause a loss of food.
Some appliance parts houses carry universal thermostats that could possibly cover the temperature range your looking for, but 30 degrees is far to warm to preserve frozen food safely.

That's a no-no. Your compressor carries a 5 year warranty from the factory. However, if anything is altered on it the warranty is voided. You've got an issue with this guy.

Yes. Be sure you stand it upright for 30 minutes prior to turning it on.

The defrost drain is most likely frozen or clogged. I put together some instructions on clearing this for refrigerator/freezers and it applies the same to all freezers with drains. Take a look and let me know if you have questions.

what's the temp setting that you have for the freezer? if it's to high 1-10 then adjust.

Zero degrees F is the normal operating temperature for a freezer. The compressor should not come on until the time is above that.

By stop running do you mean become quiet or do you mean quit cooling and unthaw all the food?

If you mean turn off and still be cold then that is normal.

If you mean turn off and warm up that is not normal

Is this brand new? do you have the temp control on max?

other web site gave me the simple answer I needed. HOLD DOWN THE DOWN BUTTON FOR 2 SEC. it worked.

check the power cable &its contunity

If you have 120v coming out off the outlet and it is kicking on and off change the relay and the overload. if it has a capacitor change that to

if its a sweet sickly smell then its possibly just a relay thats burnt out,should be cheap enough to replace,its the call out thats the killer.

you need to do a full manual defrost,clean drains with clorine bleach and make sure all vents are free of s..t
do not use rapid defrost/or scrapers.at least 24 hrs switched off.then wipe out with bicarb solution and dry thoroughly,then your set for another year......

there is no way of cleaning the coils.there maybe a problem with the compressor.you should hear a fan running inside the freezer when it is in the cooling cycle and the compresor is running if you do not here the fan running this could cause a cooling issue and the evaporator could be building up with ice.
check the rear of the freezer to see if there is any ice build up.
