The temperature control keeps flasing
Hi,Can
you look behind the food and shelves at the back wall near the bottom,
if there is a frost build up on the back wall we have an issue with the
defrost system, this would cause poor air flow and loss of cooling. I do
not have your model number but I am assuming since it is a frost free
unit it has an internal fan. If so is the fan running inside, can you
feel air out the vent in the top? If not your fan motor may have gone
out. The next thing to check is feel the side walls of the freezer, they
should be warm. If they are not the compressor may not be running. Let
me know the results of these questions and we can go from there.
Help.Just purchased new 150L chest
your freezer has to adapt to the ambient air temp. of the room i know this sound crazy but if u plug it back in let it run for 24 hours it should be OK and u should be able to open it,I don't know why it dose it but my freezer dose the same thing. Hope this solves your problem
Coils frozeup and iced on
Defrost the unit totally so you can see no more ice, may take a day or more with door open, once done, restart the unit, check you can hear the fan running in the freezer, if not, replace fan unit, if you can hear it, the defrost timmer may have failed or the defrost element has gone. If the unit appears to work correctly, dont be fooled, the problem will return, if the unit does not work as it should, regas is required. Hope that helps.
Dont forget to vote for the solution, thankyou
The freezer door was left open last night. At noon
More likely the start relay on the side of the compressor.
To find out if this is bad first unplug the refrigerator. Remove the lower cover from your refrigerator http://appliancehelponline.com/referbackpanel.html. Then take the cover off that is on the side of the compressor, you will see wires going to this. Now you should be able to see the start relay plugged on to the side of the compressor and unplug it. Now the best way to tell if it's bad is to shake it. If it rattles, it's bad and needs to be replaced. If not, most of the time it's ok. But rather than saying the compressors bad, you might want to replace it anyways because it does not cost much. A quick check on the compressor is to remove the start relay. You will see 3 pins connect a multi meter set for continuity. You should have continuity between any of the 3 pins. If you do not the compressor is bad. If you replace it and it doesn't work then the compressor is bad and you'll need to call a repairman. (Note that compressors are very costly and are normally not worth fixing). You can enter your model # at www.appliancehelponline.com for diagrams and illustrations or to purchase a start relay. A 3 in 1 start relay will also work fine. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available.
My freezer is not cooling
Make sure the cooling fan is not plugged and the coils are not covered in dirt hair or anything this would cause the unit to work harder and as not as efficient. The coils need to be cleaned often or this could be a problem thanks

A church member donated a freezer to our church, I
You pluged it back in after you laid it doun. You needed to let it stand back up to let the freon to get to the condencer. You can try to unplug it for 2 days now to see if the freon will go back down or you might need to have it serviced now.
Good Luck

Freezer motor running nonstop
Behind the back panel you will find the freezer fan motor. unplug and take everything out. take the back panel off and find the fan. stick something in the blade like a bannana or whatever (no rags or paper towels though) just something to jam the blade (its plastic so dont break it) replug. remove whatever you put to jam the blade and if you hear the sound then you know for sure it is the fan. got to replace fan if you want the noise to stop
if it is not the fan let me know
hope this helped
Checked the compressor terminals the 2 highest
most likely not, but you also need to check from terminal to ground. If you get any reading at all, the compressor is most likely grounded/ bad. Be sure to disconnect all elelctical to unit and all component to compressor.
3 terminals are Start, Run, and Common. Take a reading from common to Start, then common to run.
Add those numbers. Now take a reading from start to run. The totaled numbers should be very close to the run to start numbers. Your numbers look good.
what seems to be the issue? If it is not running, be sure it is getting power and all start components are good. This is usually the most common problem.
I HAVE A FRIGIDAIRE UPRIGHT
Hi there,
Well first of all you can check to see if the light comes on or if there is any fan, motor, or other sound coming from the appliance? If so, the refrigerator isn't really completely stopped--go to the specific problem you are having. If not, try adjusting the thermostat to a colder setting. If that doesn't work, read on.
Second, check to see if there is power getting to the refrigerator. To do that, plug a lamp or other device into the same outlet the refrigerator is plugged into. If there's no power, check the fuses or circuit breakers. If the fuses or breakers aren't the problem, contact a qualified electrician to restore power to the outlet. Please post comments if further you have the same problem.........
Good Luck!!
Thanks
