If your "Failed" drives can be "seen" and you can identify files on them, the problem is likely not the HDD but a problem in BIOS regarding a corruption of the BIOS itself. That has to be less expensive than buying hard drives annually, perhaps a different solution will be better than the ones you have already tried. If your PC is able to use a solid state drive you may want to consider this option instead of a traditional HDD.

Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click to update driver you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd restart your computer then plug them back this should activate the found new hardware wizard if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer Close all open programs

To me, off the bat, it sounds like a dead computer mainboard. However only purchase a replacement component when you know for sure which component it is.
