Can't print without black Ink

From HP's website:
The printer will not operate unless all six ink cartridges are installed. Also, HP cannot guarantee the quality of refilled or remanufactured ink cartridges.

Try this::
Leave the empty cartidge in and go to print, select the printer, click on preferences, then the paper/Quality tab. there select color and best. This way you wil be able to print your document.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

I bought my HP Photosmart

it is likely that you havr a mix of trade and host supply of ink cartridges. Even though HP363 and HP177 are compatible cartridges it is not the issue. Refer this article.

Hope this helps.

Where is the battery located on the HP C6280 All-in-one printer?

Inside silly. ;)
(sorry couldn't resist)
Unplug,
Remove the right hand plastic side panel.
Ground yourself to discharge possible static electricity,
Remove the 5 screws holding the cct board.
Battery is on the cct board.
Be careful of damaging wires when reassembling.
