How to set up ml-l3 remote control nikon D3200

Set the camera to one of the remote modes. The quick-response remote mode fires the camera when you push the button on the remote, just as if you were pushing the shutter release button on the camera. The delayed response remote mode gives you two seconds to hide the remote behind your back before firing the camera. See "Release Mode" beginning on page 31 of the manual: http://cdn-10.nikon-cdn.com/pdf/manuals/dslr/D3200_EN.pdf

Nikon ML-L3 remote control working d7100

Set the camera to one of the remote modes. The quick-response remote mode fires the camera when you push the button on the remote, just as if you were pushing the shutter release button on the camera. The delayed response remote mode gives you two seconds to hide the remote behind your back before firing the camera. The remote mirror-up mode raises the mirror the first time you press the button, then fires the camera the second time to prevent camera shake. I do not now how to set my remote mode on my nikon

Sorry, but the D3100 doesn't work with the ML-L3 infrared remote. It uses the MC-DC2 wired remote or equivalent. With the MC-DC2, you don't need to set a remote mode. Simply plug the MC-DC2 into the D3100. You can then use the button on the remote the same way you normally use the shutter release button on the camera.

I cannot open the remote.

Turn the unit over. You'll see two arrows marked "1" and "2". Put a fingernail into the gap between the two ridges of "1" and move in the direction indicated by the arrow. While keeping it there, put another fingernail into the slot of "2" and pull in the direction of the arrow. The procedure almost requires three hands. but it can be done with two if you put the remote down on a tabletop.

NIKON 5100 SET IT UP FOR REMOTE CONTROL BUT IF NOT USED QUICKLY REVERTS TO MANUAL AND HAVE TO RESET THE CAMERA RO REMOTE IS THERE A WAY ROUND THIS TO KEEP IT IN REMOTE

Setting a remote mode uses battery power since the camera has to keep looking to see if it's being remotely triggered. You can control how long the camera continues to look by changing custom setting #c4. You can set it from one minute to fifteen minutes.

The ML-L3! The laser

How do you know it's not coming on? The LED (not a laser) puts out infrared, normally not visible to the human eye. If you have a point&shoot digital camera or a dSLR with LiveView, try taking a photo of it and see whether it lights up when you press the button. It'll probably show up white. You might try a TV remote for comparison. Also, try cleaning both the LED window on the remote and the remote sensor on the camera. And make sure you're pointing the remote at the sensor.

ML3 REMOTE USERS GUIDE needed in english

Nikon really doesn't have a user's guide for the ML-L3. It comes with a slip of paper telling you how to change the battery, and that's about it. The thing only has one button on it, after all.The precise steps for using the remote vary from camera to camera. If your camera works with the ML-L3, there will be something in the camera's manual telling you how. It's usually called "Release Mode" or "Shooting Mode." Basically, you set the camera to a remote mode, then use the button on the remote instead of the shutter release button on the camera.
