How do I find the
Hello,
The circulating fan is at the back of the refrigerator, check the back of the refrigerator to locate the cooling fan of your unit.
Take care.
Ffu20fc6aw4 frigidaire upright freezer isn't
Hi,
Is the refrigerator completely dead? If so, see “It's
stopped completely.”
Is the thermostat knob turned to the proper setting?
If not, reset it.
Next, see if the compressor motor is running
If the compressor is humming or making a continuous noise and
your refrigerator is still not cooling, there may be a more serious
problem with one or more of several different component.
The compressor
The Thermostat
The overload, relay, or capacitor
The defrost timer
The condenser fan motor
If these part listed above are checked and the faulty part is replace, your freezer will work properly.
Thanks.
My upright Frigidaire freezer is not freezing
Check temp. in freezer shoud be 0 to -5 Deg. Check condensor if dirty clean some units had a recall on diers cap.tube to far in dier also check for ice on back wall if icedup check defrost heater and defrost timer check evap. fan make sure it's turning.
Freezer runs constantly, not freezing, only slight
Is your circulating fan working?
Sometimes they stick and need a shot of WD 40 and then work
it back and forth a little until it wants to take off again. Keep me informed
and PLEASE give a Thumbs Up for the effort. The Raz Shack
Freezer defrost cycle
If the defrost timer sticks in the defrost mode, yes. Normal defrost time is 30 minutes or less depending upon which timer is installed.
If it happens again, locate the defrost timer and turn the dial manually to see if the compressor comes back on. If so,replace the timer.
It is probably on the rear near the compressor. Some are under the front behind the dust guard.
Wont get below 24 degrees only end of the coil
if these coils are clean and the fans are operating then the refrigerant charge needs checked. I would also check the compression ratio on the compressor to see if the compressor has weak reed valves. this would let the refrigerant pressures equalize. and would not remove heat as efficiently as it should. This would make the compressor run alot more
Does the light on the outside of freezer stay on
Normally there is a Green light showing that power is on
A Yellow one for fast freeze and a Red one for under temperature
The outer casing is well insulated from the inside otherwise the freezer motor would run none stop without cooling the contents so the temperature of the outside casing will reflect the room temperature not the intenal
The buzzer is loud
Frigidaire # LFFH2067DoW2 # WB52430831 upright freezer (frost free commercial)
Freezer is still freezing. The alarm sounded and I switched the switch off to turn off. The manual says that the temperature isn't at the right temperature and once it reaches the correct freezing temperature the light will come back on or the sound would go off after at least 4 hours. This was since last night about 6:00 and if i switch the switch the alarm is still sounding. The left side of the freezer is a little warmer than usual. Any suggestions
Left outside is very warm & inside products are
There are 2 or 3 things that would cause this. first make sure the condenser coils are not plugged with dust (vacumn or blow them out) next check to make sure the fan that cools these coils is running, (this is the most likely problem). if both of these check out ok then you would need to check to make sure your interior lights ar going off when the doors are closed as these will add extra heat and cause the center rails to run hot. last and most uncommon would be a freon system problem.
fyi there is a hot gas freon line that runs in between the doors to prevent exterior sweating. when poor or no air flow problems for the condenser coil exist it causes this area to become hotter.
One more thing. if you do determine that the condenser fan motor is bad you can put a normal house fan blowing on to the coil to help cool this area down until you can get the unit repaired.
If you need any further assistance leave me a comment here and I'll gladly get back to you. Thanks Peyton

you said the coil was freezing up? have you checked your defrost element? if your handy with a voltmeter put it on the "beeping mode" (disconnect the fridge's power first) and test the element if it beeps its good, and means that the defrost control isn't working it could be a timer or a board, also check the freezer fan rotate the blades if it dosen't rotate the fan is stuck. if the fans turns out o.k, the defrost thermostat is defective (thats the little metal ball type control befor the heaters).
Freezer not getting cold to freeze
ok if this fridge uses a defrost timer, it's probably stuck on defrost or the defrost thermostat is faulty also check the number on your thermostat it its on a low number the fridge won't cool properly also a refrigerant leak could be suspected.
I just bought a frigidaire
Since this is a new freezer it should be serviced by the people who sold it to you in order to avoid any warranty conflict. The fan blades of these units are of a slip fit onto the motor shaft. It is possible that the fan blade has come off the motor shaft.
Upright Freezer not freezing,
looks like low on freon. that causes freeze up. oddly enough they freeze up when charge is low , just the opposite of what you think they would do. you have a freon leak unfortunately. probably not accessible, and therefore not repairable. i would suggest, cut your losses and buy new. unfortunately for me and all other srevice techs, the days of affordable repair are over, you can now replace cheaper than i can fix and have a warranty and its new... good luck
Shelves that wont stay
I had the same problem. With the basket install empty I notice there was about ¼" gap from the bar the far most side of the side rail. SO I removed the left side rail and found a peice of laminate flooring and cut it to the same size of the the bracket (also predrill the holes so the screw holes match up). I had to buy 3 new screws that were ½" longer the orginal. I reassembled the wood and rail bracket . I then slid the basket in the rail, then started the load the backet up with frozen items. It works perfectly. The basket does not fall any more! Total cost... 3 screws ($0.15).
