Why won't my tv turn on

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

TV isnt turning on

Frankly, with the price TVs sell for these days, it's not worth the time to fix them, and certainly not worth the cost of taking them in for repair. I suggest just replacing it.

Samsung le26a6 will not switch on

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

Television keeps clicking like it wants to turn on but doesn't come on. will come on ocassionally after a long wait

you will need to replace the leaky capacitors in the power supply circuit. You can locate the faulty capacitors with a visual check. Those that are bulging need to be replaced.

Picture thatching?

Hate to give you some bad news...But, It sounds like you have a bad screen. Samsung had several issues with the screens on this model. You may get lucky and may have a bad T-con board. The small board at the top center of the TV. If you want to give it a try? Buy a used one,so you don't loose that much money. If is the screen? Some people have had luck complaining to Samsung about it. They may provide a replacement screen, but you still have to pay a shop to install it. The T-Con board part number is...shopjimmy-lj94-02601f-top.jpg Samsung LJ94-02601F or this one depending on what screen is in yours. shopjimmy-lj94-02349c-top.jpg Samsung LJ94-02349C

My Samsung PN58C8000 plasma tv has red banding on white backgrounds. I see this a problem with this tv. How do I repair this and how much will it cost? The tv is out of warranty.

I have the exact same TV with the exact same problem. The issue is called diffusion and is not repairable. A Samsung repair tech can adjust the voltage settings but this will only work for a few weeks and cost a little more than $100. If you call Samsung they may be willing to issue you a new panel gratis (they did for me) but you will have to pay labor for the swap (about $400). If you do this the new panel will start to act up just like the old one so I would advise against it. Samsung will also claim that this is not a common problem which isn't true - especially for the 58" models which are seeing many extended warranty claims (which I didn't purchase).Best advice is to deal with it until you can't take it anymore and then buy a new TV but avoid Samsung in general and especially their plasmas. That is the route I am taking. And bashing Samsung for bilking me out of $400 6 months ago to replace a defective product with an equally defective one and then saying so sorry but you're now on your own.

Check the backlight inverter board. It is faulty. There is no repair to these boards, if the inverter transformer on it is damaged. Card base replacement only can be done. To get more details, http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Samsung TV model LN32A450C1DXZA, after turning the TV on it will turn itself off shortly after and then turn itself back on shortly thereafter. Then it repeats that several times before staying on.

Hi there,If the tv is still under warranty, this can be repaired at no charge. However, if not under warranty, you will need to have the CAPACITORS on the main power supply circuit board tested (or replaced). The capacitors responsible for the power supply can sometimes fail - open the back panel. If the capacitors on the main power supply board look too fat, or signs of burning near the solder joints, then you've found the problem.Hope this helps.Cheers,Scott
