Freeze's on bottom 12' on top 40'

Hello Paul Rorrer, thanks for your inquiry!

I see that your question is listed under Electrolux freezer. Please help me understand the question you are asking. Is it freezing on the racks? Or is there a frost buildup? I would recommend turning the temperature down to help alleviate some of the cold air building up inside of your freezer.

Additionally if there is a frost buildup I would recommend checking your gasket to see if it is in good condition. You can do that by using a dollar bill. Place a dollar bill between the body of the freezer and close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing it. If nothing is stopping the door from closing then replace the gasket. If you could provide me any more information I would be happy to assist you. -Matt

Food is not completely freezing in spots

This is a symptom of air leaking into the freezer. The most common place is around the door. Check the door really good to make sure something is not obstructing it from closing all the way, it may be closing enough to satisfy the ajar alarm but not enough for a bit of moisture to sneak in. Look for tears or breaks in the seal. If you put a bright flashlight inside the freezer and close the door, turn off the lights in the room you may find a leak that way.

Hi, It likely will tell you in your owners manual, but if you push & hold the alarm button it should stop after several moments ( I think it may actually be 30-60 sec.) That should reset the alarm. However, if the thermistor senses the temp. to be too warm the alarm will return. Hope that helps, let me know. Good luck.

I have an Electrolux upright freezer glfh21f8hwb. It runs for about 3 days, then shuts off and displays error code OF and shuts off. If I reset it with the temp control, it starts again and freezes, but shuts off again in a few days. I just replaced the controller and capacitor with OEM Electrolux parts because it wasn't working at all. With those new parts, it started working again, but now I am getting the OF code. Please advise.

Sorry but I know nothing of the new-fangled fridges and freezers with their codes, but what does tend to stop an appliance that otherwise works well is a lack of cooling air around the motor/compressor unit and when the unit works harder during the summer or in the depths of winter when the heating is full on the thermal protection can cut power to the unit. Cleaning dust and fluff, ensuring all the power connections are clean and tight and not generating heat and ensuring there is adequate air space between the wall and the unit.

I defrosted my Electrolux intuition chest freezer yesterday and the red warning triangle on the lid won't stop flashing now. Why?

Check the temperature inside the freezer, chances are it just is letting you know it hasn't reached the correct temperature yet.

Electrolux FFU14F5HWB has intermittent defrost issues

Thank you for your post friend.

I understand that you are having intermittent defrost issues with your Frigidaire refrigerator. Are you experiencing an accumulation of ice buildup, are you losing food? Defrost issues can be caused by a variety of things such as a defective defrost heater, thermostat or defective door gasket. I recommend that you visually inspect the door gasket for defects such as gaps or tears. You can also use a dollar bill to test the door gasket. Place a dollar bill in between the door and the body of the freezer. If the dollar bill pulls out with no to little resistance, you may need to replace the door gasket. A faulty door gasket can allow warm air to enter the compartment and cause frost to buildup.

If there is a miscommunication within your freezer, a reset can possibly correct this issue. I recommend that you reset your refrigerator by unplugging it for 10 minutes. I hope this information has been helpful. -NS

How to set temperature on built-in freezer that is not part of a fridge

Well start by defrosting it. Empty out the contents and put the contents in a cooler and then switch it off. You may need to switch it off at the electrical control panel by flipping the circuit breaker. Once you have turned it off, use hot water to help remove the ice. Have plenty of old towels around for this as water will get spilled on the floor. Once it is empty and the ice removed you may discover a temperature control switch, but if not, just be prepared to repeat the exercise every 6 months or so. In any case it is not a good idea to run the freezer when it is iced up. Once it is emptied and cleared out switch it back on and wait 10 minutes before adding your stuff back. Sometimes freezers will heat up a bit before they cool down. Once you verify its getting cold, put your food back in it. Good luck.....RD

Re lights lit on freezer

Red light lit on freezer means that is not reaches operating temperature. Most often the old freezer has three indicator lights. - Green light : that it is brought to a power source and turned on - Red light : means that the temperature is above -18 degrees - orange light : pressing the so-called SUPER-switch which means that the compressor is running continuously. The SUPER-button switch on a few hours before you begin deep-freeze foods. Freezing time depending on foods quantity (kg). With old freezer must be careful to turn off the switch S (orange light) when the red light goes out or when foods are frozen, otherwise after a few days may burn out the compressor. You should be following the instructions from user manual. In new freezer managed by the electronics, this function has a predetermined maximum duration, in order to protect the compressor, and can have different marketing names like "shopping"..... Dado

Why is the pilot light on my ERN7926 frost free flashing?

To Start the Appliance Allow the appliance to stand for 2 hours after installation. Plug in the appliance and switch on at the mains supply. Turn the thermostat control (B) to a midway setting and adjust the slider control, situated on the back wall of the fridge section, to a midway position between "MIN" and "MAX". The pilot light (A) will illuminate. Leave the appliance for approximately 4 hours for the correct temperature to be reached before placing food inside. To switch off the appliance turn the thermostat control to position "?" After 4 hours, measure the temperature in the refrigerator and freezer. Should be between 2 and 10 degrees centigrade in refrigerator and app. -18 in freezer. Dado
