Yes. Just connect them to different auxiliary inputs (e.g. scart sockets, if your tv has them) and use the tv remote to choose between them.

Make sure that you have second audio program turn off.

The backlight inverter board may have gone out, or power supply for the inverter is bad. Check the power supply first since it is easier to get to. Look for bad capacitors, etc.

The set doesn't do that, only the broadcast stations can. Hardly anyone broadcast in 1080p. 99% broadcast in 1080i = 720p. Your set will produce it if it can get it. 1080p broadcast is probably a few years away. A Blueray DVD player with a 1080p disc will get it for you. I hope this explains it for you.

It sounds like the seine board. I replaced several of these. Exteded warranty would be nice in this situation. Hope you have one.

UR covergence IC is dead u need a new one.
Best it to change the whole board.

If your TV was "Built" prior to November 2006 it does Not have a Digital tuner and you need a converter box (if you are using an off-air antenna) Hope this helps

Picture tube problem

The software of the TV might have been corrupted somehow. A problem that may have come strait out of the factory.
Most of the New Sharp TVs have a software upgrade port. In your manual, it will describe on how to do it. Best to call the number on the software upgrade page and tell them what happening. That way, they can get you the right patch or software to fix the problem.

Both the TV and the Cable box have Aspect(height/width) settings. You must confirme the setting on the cable box and then do the TV.

1. Set TV to Native, this should show image exactly as the cable box sends it.
2. change Aspect settings on the cable box until you get one that works
3. if you get a good one, then your OK. You will just need to find a setting between the 2 devices that work for you. Also, these settings may change automatically for the TV or cable box based on the channel

TV was on, screen went black... Stanley cup playoffs double OT continued sound only. TV now just clicks on and off. 

You have to configure yout laptop to output through the s-video (which does not carry sound, so you need to either use the laptop speakers for sound, or the line output (headphone jack) to the TV).
I don't know if all toshibas are the same, but with mine, if I hold Fn (near the windows key) and press F5, it will change the output, do it a few times until you see a picture on the TV, some settings make this your extended desktop, meaning you can drag a window from one screen to another.

software upgrade available from toshiba.

Go to the menu settings and check the picture size. Most likely it's set wrong. What is the normal input from? etc...

Check the input cables, Also make sure that the input for the set is proper.

Double check that your componet cables are in the correct colors on both the dvd and tv. Also what are you using to transmit the sound from the dvd player to the tv. Component cables are video only and not sound. 

call Toshiba ASAP if you still have warranty, the TV needs to be replaced. The line will get worse!!

One of two things could be wrong.. One is the digital board and or connector. the second is that the LCD display is going bad..

When connecting the dvd player using component cables and audio cables, go to the progressive scan setting on the dvd player and select it. Once I activated the progressive scan, the problem was solved.
