Frost build up usually indicates an air leak - check your door seals and any part of the door for gaps. Also make sure the unit does not need to perform a defrost cycle.

How long for a 20 cf freezer to get to appropiate temperature?

As in most refrigerator and freezer units, the manufacturer and technical guides will state up to 24-48 hours to reach appropriate temperature. It also depends on the room temperature and humidity around the unit.

It's leaking water from underneath the unit

Hi there, I know that most units have a drip tray at the back or under the unit itself. well the older ones anyway, not sure with really new ones, but they shoukd. these trays hod water condensation and any drainage from the fridge itself. These trays sometimes have a coil in them which heats and help to evaporate the waterso that it does not overfill and spill out. these trays can become overfilled, the heating elemet can stopworking or

Freezer seems to be stuck in defrost mode

Sounds like the pat test fried the pcb. They use too high a voltage to test the appliance wiring and it doesn't do printed boards much good!

Yes, it is, not sure how to go about taking it off, can only get to it by the back of freezer.

Is this still the drain pan question? It may be sat on top of the compressor, clipped over the pipework and sat in a metal loop Ease it back and up / off clean in the sink or dishwasher and refit. If you can't get it off, spray it with antibacterial surface cleaner and wipe with soft tissue.
