You need to reset you calculator. With the casio fx 880P on, press "P" in the back until the display goes off, then press all reset, next to the Power On. If it doesn't work, try again.

I too have checked the net for a manual for your Casio Organ. I checked the Casio website, they offer some of the manuals on their website. However your model was not on their list.

i dont know if this helps but the polarity of the power source going in to the keyboard may have an affect on it, i have one of these keyboards myself and on the back of the keyboard there is a schematic on how the polarity of the power source should be

there are many software applications for your computer available out there my advice is to find one and use it all the time as i learnt when i started playing as with any other instrument the only way you will learn is to practise, practise, practice any keep trying it no matter how many times you fail

ok your volume control has bit/dust in it you need to strip it down as best you can and spray wd-40 into the control this will release all the grit in the control knob (trim pot) and should work fine then..

Sounds like either the power cord is loose either in the keyboard jack or in the wall socket. If the keyboard has an internal battery too, remove it, press power button and hold it for 5 long seconds, put battery back in, plug it back in and see if it resets itself. If not, the power supply is likely bad.

if it has a headphone jack on the back of the keyboard then there is a cable that you can buy and put it in the microphone input. Another ideas is to try krystal media it is a free recording program.

If the pedal is a simple switch, and not a MIDI device, then most probably the only difference is that in one pedal the switch is wired so it is normally open, and in the other normally closed.
Modifying that would involve disassembling the pedal and looking if the switch can be rewired the opposite way.

Not sure that this is the right answer.
But it works very well with other electrinic devices.

When you turn off the unit it resets itself.
ie: the parser code program on the IC (Integreated Chip) defaults to the base program
upon power up.
This problem commonly occurs from a voltage drop at a standard household outlet.
It can occur from other high draw electrical items that are on the same circuit being turned
on while your playing your keyboard.

So stay away from extension cords as these increase electrical resistance.
ie: you dont get enough power for the device.

Another thing that can cause this is power strips.
I know we all use these for certain items but they can wreak havok on electronic
components by not being able to supply enough power.

Best that if something like this happens to plug the item directly into an outlet.

And make sure that Momma's microwave isn't gonna kick in anytime soon.

I have a Casio CT-648, which looks like a smaller version of yours. I had the same problem, and got brave and opened it up. I took off the back, which takes several screws. Once it was opened up, I saw the keyboard was fastened to the frame in sections of keys. I unscrewed the section with the raised key (I believe it was 5 screws), slid the key section toward the front of the keyboard, and was able to get the slides to re-engage with the tab below it. I now have a smooth keyboard.

Do you mean the voice is not sustained long enough?

If so why not buy a "sustain pedal"?
