The iron was dropped which resulted in the Steam

Hi Fred,

The euro-pro irons are designed to be tossed when they break. That said, you may be able to disassemble the handle by gently prying with a piece of thin metal, a feeler gauge works for this application. Feeler gauges are available in any hardware store. The plastic parts are snapped together at the factory. There is no service center for these irons.

I would begin with a pair of pliers and try to gently reseat the dislodged buttons.

My Laura star iron is continuously steaming and won't stop My Laura star iron is continuously steaming and won't stop

The steam valve may be partially blocked with scale so it doesn't close properly. You can try disconnecting the iron from the base unit and flushing it several times with the valve open and then closed. If it is possible to disassemble the valve, you can clean the contamination directly. You may also find that the seal or o-ring is worn out. My mother would use only distilled water in her iron, so she never had that problem. I see from the product manual* that yours is "designed for use with tap water" if the filter is used. There's probably a limit to how much lime in the water it will tolerate, but the manual says nothing about that. If the Laurastar Lift Xtra is less than a year old and you were diligent about replacing the filter when you got the replacement alert light, you may be able to get warranty service. *http://image.email.laurastar.com/lib/fe4715707564057e751572/m/3/75bb559a-f7e0-4d65-aa02-6d2bf912641f.pdf

Finding replacement parts for specific products can sometimes be challenging, especially if they are not readily available online. Here are some steps you can take to locate a replacement water filter for your Elitech 2400W Ceramic Soleplate Steam Generator Iron:
  1. Contact the Manufacturer: Start by reaching out to the manufacturer of the steam generator iron. They may have spare parts available for purchase or be able to direct you to authorized retailers or distributors who carry replacement water filters.
  2. Check Online Marketplaces: While you mentioned that you couldn't find the water filter online, it's worth checking popular online marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, or Alibaba. Sellers on these platforms often offer a wide range of replacement parts for various appliances.
  3. Visit Local Retailers: Visit local appliance stores or retailers that specialize in household appliances. They may carry replacement parts for steam generator irons or be able to place a special order for the water filter on your behalf.
  4. Search Specific Parts Retailers: Look for retailers that specialize in selling replacement parts for appliances. These retailers may have a wider selection of parts available and could potentially have the water filter you need.
  5. Consider Universal Filters: If you're unable to find an exact replacement water filter for your specific model, consider looking for universal water filters that are compatible with steam generator irons. While they may not be an exact match, they could still work effectively.
  6. Join Online Forums or Communities: Join online forums or communities dedicated to appliance repair or steam generator irons. Members of these communities may have tips or suggestions on where to find replacement parts or may be willing to sell or trade spare parts.
  7. Check with Local Repair Shops: Reach out to local appliance repair shops or service centers. They may have access to a network of suppliers or be able to source the replacement water filter for you.

My D2030 iron does not heat up the power light and the screen light come on but does not heat up

1...You need to check the iron settings as they have an adjustable knob that controls temperature as well as governs which kind of materials you want to iron. Different clothing materials need different temperature and other settings. Make sure you set the knob carefully. If you are unable to set the knob properly, you can check the user manual and make sure the temperature or heat amount is set at the right point.

2...Another thing that you need to check in order to inspect why the iron press is not heating up is the water reservoir. In some cases, if the water reservoir is empty then the iron press may not be heating up as much as it should.

For this, switch the iron off and make sure it is cool. Switch it on again and top up the water in the reservoir. Now try ironing again to see whether the heat is proper or not.

Elna Press 2000 Ironing Press. Why won't my press close?

Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Elna Sewing Machines No one has reported this issues, so there are no known fixes. The system is simple, just a hinge with a spring to counterbalance some of the weight. Look for something out of place or binding at the hinge area, perhaps the pivot pin is dislodged. https://www.google.com/search?q=elnapress+iron+won%27t+close+properly ..

Do I need to empty the steam tube at the end of ironing

Heating elements are vulnerable, they have a filament. Heat being generated should freely disperse. Another reason for having the water tank connected, is the possible buildup of scale. Like with coffee makers, the temperature would not reach a high enough level after some time and the iron then requires descaling.

Iron drips water while ironing. Sometimes it rusty

Use filtered water in the iron if your tap water is exceptionally hard or includes a lot of minerals. This can lessen the likelihood of corrosion and mineral development.
