it is defective. you should not use a steam press (make and model unknown) when it has a leak and water could possibly contact the electric power circuit. this could be a life threatening health issue.

I looked ours up online just put make and model in that should help unless you mean how to actually IRON good luck I'm still learning

I'd take it back unless it's old . It's prolly getting to hot .If it is an old one prolly on its last leg just saying

It is supposed to shut off at the temperature you select. The thermostat does that.

This is not something that most people would take the time to repair. It is not cost effective and parts are not available if something is wrong with the thermostat.

The iron has a attachment that enters the hose that opens the stop valve in the end of the hose, so the steam can enter the iron .

you don't that is a job for an electrician take it to an appliance repair shop you probably could do it but the risk to your life is too great to save a few dollars

somethings wrong with the heater processor. if the irons working but not heating you should take it back to the store
