Hey
There is a couple of ways you can do this. I will list a few of best and easiest.
First thing I should tell you is to turn the contrast down. They have it turned up way to high to get your attention. Doing this before hand will give your tv a big boost in life.
Ok here are a few different way to calibrate it yourself.
If you have a good dvd, hddvd or bluray player you can pick up a calibration disk. A good one is Digital Video Essentials. I have used it for years and it works really well and is easy to learn to get your TV looking really good. A link to the DVD version can be found
here to the Blu-ray version is
here .
There are also a free calibrator out there people claim are free but they really aren't. They want you to "donate" money but in the end you pay close to the same and they don't really deliver the same quaility.
There are some decent calibrators on some common DVD's out there. Many Pixar Films. There are also some free calibrators on a few games out there like Halo 3 on Xbox 360.
The last way is to pay someone besides the geek squad to calibrate it for you. Be sure they are ISF certified.
Let me know the route you want to go and I can help you out further. Thanks and Hope I helped!
