My volume is turning itself all the way up.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Please check the audio with a DVD player or cable box. Also try using component cables if using a RCA component cable or vice versa. Check that all of the cables are plugged into the back of the TV & MUTE button is not pressed. Do a hard reset by unplugging the power cord for more than 4 hours and power it again, then go into the on-screen-menu and make sure the sap is off and stereo in on. Also try audio from Phone and 3.5mm jacks (if equipped). If this all didn't resolves the issue then it is bad A/V Board or bad speakers/speaker connection. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved else post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

The problem is that the universal remote is not sending the correct IR signal to your units IR receiver, regaurdless whether or not you turned the captions on with the universal, it is unable to send the signal to turn them off, if you have a menu button on your unit you could try accessing the closed caption option that way, alternatively you can do a system reset, if you can access that menu option, you may need to do a tv retune to get your stations, but the closed captioning should be off. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems the issue is with the power board or the main board and we’ll need to check few things. When you open the unit up; take a look at the power board-the board where the power cords/plugs goes into. You might see some filter capacitors a little bulged up in the top-If this is the case-this is your defective part(you can try to replace them-but some soldering equipment is needed). If not, then probably the main board has gone bad. This is the other board-where all the inputs are going into. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components. Please note that the TV components consists high voltages even when in off position. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Good morning. I have a

Hey

There is a couple of ways you can do this. I will list a few of best and easiest.

First thing I should tell you is to turn the contrast down. They have it turned up way to high to get your attention. Doing this before hand will give your tv a big boost in life.

Ok here are a few different way to calibrate it yourself.

If you have a good dvd, hddvd or bluray player you can pick up a calibration disk. A good one is Digital Video Essentials. I have used it for years and it works really well and is easy to learn to get your TV looking really good. A link to the DVD version can be found here to the Blu-ray version is here .

There are also a free calibrator out there people claim are free but they really aren't. They want you to "donate" money but in the end you pay close to the same and they don't really deliver the same quaility.

There are some decent calibrators on some common DVD's out there. Many Pixar Films. There are also some free calibrators on a few games out there like Halo 3 on Xbox 360.

The last way is to pay someone besides the geek squad to calibrate it for you. Be sure they are ISF certified.

Let me know the route you want to go and I can help you out further. Thanks and Hope I helped!

The screen is showing green all over the images on

This may be caused when your picture tube is magnetized and it should be demagnetized to return back to normal.
As a simple measure, switch off the television and UNPLUG IT FOR TWO TO THREE HOURS AT LEAST. The longer the better. Then switch it back on and see if it get demagnetized all by itself. This is just a try.
If it fails, try replacing your picture tube. Try to have undamaged picture tubes of old color televisions as they are of better quality than modern ones.

Depending on your cable provider, you may need an adapter to receive signals properly. I would recommend contacting your provider, especially if the TV is functioning across all other viewing modes.

Insignia 32" NS 32 q09

Since you don't mention how you're receiving the signal, I'm assuming you use a cable box or computer. Adjust the output settings (e.g. 720p, 1080p) on the box and then adjust your TV settings. If it's a computer, you'll need to adjust the video card settings to a compatible aspect ratio (e.g. 1366x768) for the desktop to display properly on the TV. Details can be found in the owner's manual.

You can find remote control codes here, under the Support tab. If this link isn't to your model, search for your TV model number for the correct codes. If you don't find it there, most universal remote controls have a scan feature to find a code where one is not available. If this process doesn't work, additional assistance may be found at Community.InsigniaProducts.com.
