HDMI cable stops displaying an image after 15-20 minutes

The problem could either be with the HDMI cable or with the (either tv or laptop connection ports). There could be a few other factors to consider, but I would try a new cable if you happen to have one lying around.

Insignia LCD HD tv with "No Signal/VGA input"

With the model# and date of manufacture I, or others might be able to help better. • Generally, Most of the insignia TV's are manufactured by Lucky Electronics and have some amount of problems on the main board. The power supply filter is likely drying out it's capacitors as they use caps that are to close in rating to their actual voltage. IE 25 volt caps in a 24.5 volt circuit. (We replace them with 35 volt.) This causes flakey actions. Try unplugging the set for an hour, and try it again. It may work, but for how long? IF it works, you should replace all the caps in the power supply area, about 10. You can be sure that one is bad if it is swelled up, dome shaped on top, or hot.

Universal remote control codes

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Programming Notes • If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote. • Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality. This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; that you want the set-up codes, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window" to get gathered related posts.

Tv scanning through channels by itself

Check and replace the main system memory IC. Before replacing it, try a hard rest first. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset. It this do not help you, replace the above said IC.

AFTER A LIGHTNING STORM

Hi
Its tuner has been damaged. Lightning stroke will have Trillions of volts when it hit the earth. No electrical houlhold equipent can withstand it. Evan a part of it is efficiant to damage the tuner and other sections of a TV; designed to work with 120V or 220VAC. The induced voltage that came through the cable of by the antenna, surely had damaged your TVs tuner. If tuner has been damaged, the set will not get any signal to process. According to your description, all the other sections are working now. Otherwise you won't get any screen at all. Get it repaired by any experienced service technican or by the Authorised Service Center for Insigina at your town. If you are able to, you can do it yoursef. But after tuner replacement, some adjustments may have to be done. If you have knoledge in digital electronics, measuring equuipments, and a concept of soldering, dare to do it. Otherwise it will be best to get it repaired by any experienced service person. OK

My 37in insig t.v is messed up the color for the

We would be happy to help get that fixed right away. Thefirst thing we want to ensure is that all connected equipment is on. Check whattype of cable is used to connect the TV to the receiver. If you are using a coax cable to connect the receiver toTV1, check the receiver's back panel for the output name. If your receiver hasa "TV CH 3/4 out":Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4, if it is labeled "Home Distribution": TuneTV to channel 62 or 75. If using non-Coax (RCA, Component, or HDMI) to connect receiver to TV1,cycle through the inputs until picture appears; Most TVs have a "TV/Video", "Input", or"Source" button. We also want to ensure that the TV and thereceiver are connected properly, please visit this link to for moreinformation: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/setup-receiver-totv.Once we have made sure everything is connected properly, unplug receiver for 10seconds then plug it back in, this will reset the receiver. If we are still notgetting a picture connect another component (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) to the sameTV, using same cable, same input, and same channel to see if it works. If youget a picture with the other component give us a call at 1-800-333-DISH (3474)for some additional troubleshooting. If it doesn't work with the othercomponent then replace the cable that was used.

We hope these steps get the color back on your DISH Network programming. We want to thank you for being a valuedDISH Network customer!
