Check ALL settings which came in the sftwr. for the camera. Also, you may have to connect to the rear of the machine, instead. Disconnect camera and cables, Uninstall and then reinstall sftwr. then try again. If it is new and you have a receipt, take it back AFTER contacting Logitech/Creative, 1st. Good Luck

Web Camera's have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

It won't work in a room with no light at all. But if you have even a light from your monitor it will work better than most of the webcams. If you need a webcam for complete darkness you may have a look at Security Cameras

Have you set it up properly

Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on

I have a similar problem on a Vista PC (but not on a Win XP PC)except it doesn't freeze, the page simply disappears. I've emailed Logitech and am waiting for reply.

ok try this: - insert the old driver not the beta. - go the driver install it's like "step.exe" - right click on and select proprete - go the compatiblité - select "run under compatibilité : win 95 ...win 2000" - select run under win2000 - ok - begin to install

After you get your camera installed properly, DO NOT unplug it from the USB port as it will
cause the drivers to be corrupt and render the camera unusable till reinstalled it properly.

The Camera you purchased should work with a Mac computer. I'll give you the logitech site to get the updated drivers you need for your operating system. Also the cameras that are compatible with Mac.

A. Skype Setup:

B. Yahoo Setup:

Go to the BIOS settings on startup, then find the setting for "Boot to USB" and Disable it

Follow the instructions below and it will work.

Disconnect the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program.

When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.

Then to use it on the Web, do this.
