You have to wait for the information about the compatibility of the Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 7. You can upgrade to Adobe Photoshop 8 which is completely compatible with Windows 7. You can check the compatibility here. Check event viewer for the error message, for this click on start menu type Event Viewer and press Enter. It would be better to check with Adobe for what operating systems that Photoshop Element 6 would be supported. However you can try installing Adobe Photoshop Element 6 in a fresh installed Windows 7.

hi, the first thing, some programs that don't show in desinstall list, can sometimes be desinstalled by using a simple link that is in the start menu, name of the app (in this case, adobe) doing what you did (deleting the folders or files ) is the worst thing you can do, because breaking the registery, leaving orphans entries...!!! the only way without format and reinstall all, is tring to clean the registery, but even that way, it is not 100% sure you be able to reinstall !

Hello, did you recently move the folder that contained the pictures you used in your slideshow? Adobe compiles the pictures you have chosen and puts them together how you want. It however does not copy the picture into the project file you save your slideshow as, it just puts a link to the location of the picture on your hard drive. The reason you may be left with blank slides is that link is now broken. That means, Adobe cannot find the picture you originally placed into your slideshow. If you were using a USB drive when you created your slideshow yesterday, plug the USB drive back in. If you were using an external hard drive, plug that back into your computer as well. Did you make any other changes to your computer recently? Also, if you happen to have the pictures stored on a network drive, make sure that your computer can still access that network drive. That should solve your problem.

Do one of the following solutions: Solution 1: Remove the NOKIAManager.mox file.

1. Exit Photoshop Elements.
2. Open the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 6.0\moxplugins folder.
3. Move the NOKIAManager.mox file to the Recycle Bin, or another location such as your desktop.
4. Restart your computer.

Note: The NOKIAManager.mox plug-in file is required for Adobe Photo Downloader to download photos from a Nokia mobile phone. If you use a Nokia mobile phone, use Solution 2. If you later decide to use a Nokia mobile phone, either move the NOKIAManager.mox file back to the original location or reinstall Photoshop Elements.
Solution 2: Install or reinstall the Nokia PC Suite software.

Note: Only use this solution if you connect a Nokia mobile phone to your computer.

In order to communicate with a Nokia mobile phone, your computer must have the Nokia PC Suite software installed. Install the software to allow Adobe Photo Downloader to communicate with the phone and download photos from it. If you have previously installed Nokia PC Suite but are still getting this error message, uninstall and reinstall the software or upgrade to a newer version. For more information about Nokia PC Suite, contact Nokia or visit the Nokia web site.

Solution 3: Disable Adobe Photo Downloader.

1. Open the Organizer in Photoshop Elements.
2. Choose Edit > Preferences > Camera or Card Reader.
3. Disable the Auto Launch Adobe Photo Downloader On Device Connect option.
4. Click OK.

Note: This solution will prevent Adobe Photo Downloader from starting when Windows starts, and it will not appear automatically when you plug in a camera, card reader, flash memory drive, or other memory device. When you plug in one of these devices, and in order to download photos into the Organizer, you will need to start Photoshop Elements and choose File > Get Photos or Videos > From Camera or Card Reader.

Try to uninstall the program, then, reinstall Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 again.

Try using the task manager to see if Photoshop is offering to update your software. Hold down the Ctrl and Alt buttons and spush delete to open the task manager. It will list the programs you are currently running. If the updator is listed, click on it so that it is highlighted and than click on end task. It should disapear from the list. Try to open Photoshop Elements again.
