I would suspect overheating of an electric component in the power supply of the lamp (backlight) of your lcd tv. bring it in for repairs.

You'll need to find the Cable/Antenna setup and change it from Antenna to Cable. Sometimes the setting you want is called CATV.

hdmi has a bad habit of messing up tv's
but is this satellite that you are using for the hdmi? or cable?
digital signals can do this when inforrmation is messed up comming in to the reciever , also if the box is having internal problems this will happen
can you check the signal level for that station with the info button?

Go into the setup screen on the TV and set the channel option to CABLE (it is probably set to AIR right now or something).
