I would certainly have a servicer check the Cable/satellite box. I have seen this with Dynex TV. But try this. Power off box, if there is a service card, take out, unplug box for one minute. Plug box in, insert card and power up. If there is no card, do as said...only. Let me know what you find out. Matt of Martins TV Repair.

Try opening it manual with paper clip od needle. On front side of dynex, there is a little hole near disc tray. Try puching needle or paper clip in that hole until disc tray open.

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times.
