You can reset the tablet to factory settings by going to settings and starting over.

On the speaker bar, drag the thumb control to the right. This works on mine.

Sounds like an app changed your wallpaper settings. Try this: go to settings then click display, you will see what wallpaper you have on th list right. Touch wallpaper and choose whatever you want then click set. This may bring everything into focus with the background you need for the correct page. It seems sometimes the LePan changes color but it is actually the wallpaper somehow taking over. Let me know if changing wallpapers works to "right" the situation. I hope this helps
