ION Audio TTUSB10 Turntable - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
What do I do to get this ION TTUSB10 to work with my Adobe 1. 5?
You can get Audacity free on the net. This will record any music. However if you want to really clean up the music I would recommend Magix Audio Cleaning Lab. This will make an excellent job of restoring scratched records. You do have to pay for it though. There are many versions out there some less expensive than others. Try searching Amazon for it.

How do I remove platter?
If this turntable is typical of its type, first remove any clip which may hold the platter to the spindle (f there is no clip, ignore this step.
Using the finger holes in the platter, lift upon it. While holding it in the lifted position, gently tap the spindle with a soft-faced hammer.

Sound quality
Did you make the audio changes in the Windows Control panel documented in the Ez Vinyl 4.1 Setup Instructions? You must set audio format and levels to specified levels for Windows 7.

Is there ANY way of
Yes one of the simple ways is to wet the record before you play it. You may even wash it under running water to clean the groove. And play it while it is still wet.

Just bought a used ion
You should contact the place you bought it from, they should rectify this problem, unless it was advertised as not working. Otherwise if you are lucky it could be a belt drive turntable and the belt has come off, otherwise you are screwed, and it's going to cost as much to fix it as what you paid for it.

Hi my name is vincent,
Hi Vin - I need a little more info to get started if you don't mind.
Can you tell me what operating system (Windows XP,7- Mac OSX, etc,)
What do you mean by the "screen blown"?
What do you mean doesn't work as it used to -- what exactly is the problem you are having?
I'll be here.

1-I'm recorded my music 10-track on step 3 on EZ
The software is not 'seeing' the gap between the tracks, so it does not know the song has ended. Untick 'split recording into tracks' box, then sit with it as it records and click on new track every time a song ends. Tedious, but it works.

What is required to convert
The cartridge must have a stylus for 78rpm records. If the turntable does not have a 78 speed play it back at 45rpm. Record it and using the software you have or get one such as Audio Cleaning Lab, just select the option to convert from 45 to 78. You can then carry out any audio modifications to clean it up, then save it as an MP3.
Never use a 45/33 stylus to play a 78 and never use a 78 to play a 45/33 record.

EZ convert stops recording after
Some software makers allow only a trial use of software. Often only one minute of recording. To get longer you have to activate the product by putting in a code. Often this comes with the package if you have bought it, or you go online to get it. Sometimes you have to purchase the product by paying a fee, before you can use the full features. Once paid they e-mail the code.

Ion worked fine; got new
This is a 99% of the time a grounding issue. It is called a "Ground Loop" This means either the new computer is not properly grounded, either to if its a laptop which 8/10 the usb/soundcards are never grounded correctly. or if its a desktop, most of the time the power supply is not always grounded to the case correctly. This happens because
Audio and video systems need a reference point for their voltages. Generally referred to as common or ground, although it may not be actually connected with the earth, this reference remains at "zero volts" while other signal voltages "swing" positive (above) and negative (below) it. Physically, the common may be a wire, a trace on a printed-circuit board, a metal chassis, virtually anything that conducts electricity. Ideally it should be a perfect conductor, but in any practical system it is not. As the complexity and size of the system is increased, the imperfect conductivity of the common (ground) conductor inevitably causes problems.
First thing i would try is if its not plugged into a grounded power strip, Get a surge protecting power strip and plug the computer and turntable in there. Now next one is a little more scary then anything else. On my dj setup i do not have a proper ground thus have the same problem you have which requires me to use a cheater plug. You know the 3 prong to 2 prong outlet. Thus removing the ground completely. This is not recommended to do all the time but i only do it when i want to use my turntables.
First try the power strip and have both the turntable and computer plugged in to see if this helps solve the problem. If it doesnt try the 3 to 2 prong outlet. If the cheater plug fixes the problem please let me know and we can go from there on how to properly ground the unit. Please also when you provide feedback let me know what model computer it is, so i can properly assist you. For more information to reference the problem here is a write up on
ground loop isolation. Thanks, Midwest-tek

Remove the felt on the platter and lift the turning platter of the centre guide pin. Please note where the belt is running, because you will have to place that into the same possition as before. Check for any dirt or debries. Clean out and replace table and belt. Hope this helps
