Manual for TwinStar 1000mm focal length telescope and equatorial mount
Equatorial mounts need to be polar aligned to work correctly. Once the scope is polar aligned (see manual or look online for polar alignment instructions), turn on the RA motor. Loosen your RA and DEC locks and find a object you want to view, The motor should keep the object in view for a while (depends on how good the motor tracks and how good your polar alignment is.) Spending 10 minutes polar alignment on my C8 keeps the object in view for about an hour without adjustment.
I have a Celestron 114
You might be able to get one from Celestron here:

or at least find out the tread size-- if you know this you could buy a replacement at a hardware store.
Ok, please no laughing though.
No -- Meade does not support that scope anymore-- but if you are mechanically inclined dis-assemble the base of the drive and check all the wiring-- and it is still possible (maybe) to buy a new motor if it is actually burned out. More than likely you will find that the worm gear is not properly engaged inside and is turning but not moving the gears.
Brokin front corrector plate (front
Celestron can replace that corrector plate but you will not like the cost. Call them to get the exact cost but I believe it is about $750. The corrector plate must be matched to the primary mirror and then collimated on an optical bench.
Sorry but this will not be a low cost repair-- call Celestron here:

How to set up telescope cant seem to see anything
Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the telescope. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one.
Go outside during the day and practice focusing on a distant object. The one with the largest number is also the lowest magnification.
Celestron Nexstar 114gt telescope, hand controller lights up only
Do you have a fresh set of batteries in the scope? Better to use an outside 12 volt power pack with the Celestron 12 volt "cigarette" lighter cable.
This can be three things:
Low power
Bad cable from hand controller to scope.
Or a broken hand controller
Try fresh batteries first.
On my celestron 100mm regal
This is a VERY expensive spotting scope. I would contact Celestron directly and seek a repair.

Ihave bought Nextstar SE4. I
Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. This is your lowest magnification.
During the day time point the scope at a distant object and practice focusing -- you may need to turn the focus knob several times right or left to achieve focus.
It will focus if you turn the knob enough.
I have a new Celestron
USE only the eyepieces do not use the 2x barlow. Try again with just the eyepieces starting with the one with the largest number written on it. Focus slowly until you get a sharp image-- you can practice during the day time on a distant object.
Read my tips on my profile page.
I have a Celestron C65
Put the diagonal into the focuser, then out the eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it into the diagonal.
Go outside during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object. DO NOT USE the 2x barlow if she bought you one of those.
