NAD C 520 emits faint hum when I turn it on
This is not a problem but may be due to the surge current that occurs due to the charging of the power supply Filter capacitors. This might be made less with some silicone sealant. Best to have a Technician look at it as it could also mean a too high of current draw due to aged and defective Chinese Capacitors- yes the have infiltrated this business too and are the result of many a failures including flat panel display TV's and computer monitors.

how to troubleshoot nad 716 power always off• need to open the unit• get a multimeter and measure the DC voltages present on each of the amplifier output stage.• it should be no more than 0.7 V, if it s, remove those pair of powertransistors and test again for output voltages. the negative probeof the multimeter to the chassis of the unit.• if the shuts down problem goes out, assume one of the extracted pair is bad.you can test it individually since it is already outside the circuit.Let me know how you make out with the inspection. Display screen on 501 no
Needs 2 new bulbs. Very common on older NAD players.If you look very closely you'll see the display is infact workingbut just not lighting up hence the need for new bulbs.

NAD 7140 input selector does not work
The selector chip is not working, either there is no B+ to the ic or the chip has malfunctioned or one of the surrounding components dead, for this type of problem a schematic will be needed to track the problem. try

Nad c320bee keep over heating
HelloDisconnect all speakers and switch ON the set without any input connected, and see whether it heats up. A moderate heat is permissable, but should not over heat. If it overheats without any load or input connected, the set need service. OK.
