hmmm does seem like the backlight inverter is bad there but if ya hold up a light to the screen and your seeing colors and movement then it was the backlight thats gone bad but if ya see nothing after shining a light at an angle at the screen then the picture board has gone bad with it

It is a problem of the transmission of that particular channel or your channel provider. If this problem is common to all channels, complaint it to your service provider. Else complaint it to the responsible channel (Not actually necessary as others might have done it and they might be already trying for the fix). This is not a problem of your television set and need not worry about that.

Bad capacitors.

sounds like you have receiver connection problem..To test it try to play dvd on your TV..if the picture is fine your TV is good..your problem is on the cable box or receiver..

This is a problem with the LCD's inverter cable, the cable that connects the LCD to the mainboard. Have it checked, reseated or replaced by a certified technician to prevent damage of other parts.

Unplug the tv about an hour,replug it back,the tv should be back to factory setting.U can do what ever in the menu than,not than the Tuner board that the board that take in the coalax cable hook in to take the comming broscat signal.That the Tuner board,must change it have problems.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner board for the replacement.

Ribon connector for that area on the panel needs to be unpl;uged and clean and reserted back into place and thyat should fixyour problem.

It can be due to bad T-CON board or the main board is bad, you will need in-depth troubleshooting which will require service manual. Or you can try board swapping, starting with the T-CON board since it will be cheaper than the main board. If it needs the main board you may want to put the money toward a new TV instead.

the lcd tv hhave somethig like a bulb and after a period of use that bulb must be changed. take the tv on service. the service man wil see what is the problem most accurate.

Try first disconnecting the power cord for ten minutes, and ensure that the problem is not the source device connected to TV (receiver, DVD...).
Check connection cable, and test different sources on different connections.


If that does not fix the problem, then you may have one of the following faults:

The LCD ribbon cable/LCD display and connectors.
This is quite uncommon, but happens. If the TV had been hit or moved the LCD cable may have slipped out, or the LCD connector may be damaged.

The LCD controller board.
This is the board that controls the video signal, it is difficult to test, as there is need to read determined values on IC pins. To test this board you need to purchase a service manual and follow the troubleshooting diagrams on service manual.

Input/Output Signal boards.
This are the boards where you connect the video and audio cables. On most LCDs this functions are integrated on the Main controller board, like on your Sharp. If a signal I/O circuit is defective, then you may get no picture and lines only on a particular input located on faulty board, or on all inputs.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual.

The problem could be caused due to couple of reasons
1. The cable connection is bad
2. The Tunner is faulty
3. A surrounding equipment like a cellphone,cordless phone or UPS , may be causing it .

Disconnect the TV cable and from the back , and switch on the TV , do you still hear the static
