• Check the headlamp wiring
• Check if the fuse amp. is proper
• If there is any shorting in the wires then the bulb will glow but it will become dim

i had a crossfire with the same problem, I pulled the globe and the headlight just to find that there are individual fuses for left and right, double check your fuses before replacing the globe, good luck

The dimmer swich is suspect, Its mixed in with the turn signal switch wiper switch. sometimes it can be found watching the lights to push in and wiggle the turn signal switch if it comes on low at all doing this the switch is bad. It fails alot everyauto parts store should have it and take the covers off the collum to change it don't forget to check the plug that plugs into the switch for burnt connectors or backed out wires. find the wire that comes hot when you put power right on the low beam wire on the headlight ( lows will be on ) there'll be a wrre that came hot that wasn't with every thing hooked up, Unhook jumper and hook right at switch if it works from the switch the switch is bad. Change and ride saftly at nite. Some models have daytime running lights and the fuses for them are in their own fuse panel and have heir own relay this doesn't happen very often.

Not a short. FIRST check your battery connections. These can get corroded and turning on the headlights breaks the corrosion enough to allow power to the system.
