Your paddle is probably worn out and has too much play in it. Some play is necessary to get it off for cleaning but it shouldn't be so loose it is coming off during kneading.

Please tell me which loaf size you are baking 1, 1.5 or 2.0 lbs. also does the recipe you use call for any sugar? After I have that I will send you my French Bread recipe and you can try it. If it doesn't work you may indeed have a problem with your machine.

That message is the machine telling you that it is TOO HOT to bake a loaf of bread. It usually comes on when you have baked a loaf of bread and then try to a bake another one before it completely cools off. If you are getting that message with a cold machine then you have a problem that will require repair or replacement. I hope your machine is new or under warranty if you are getting that message with a cold machine.

Make sure te yeast is at the rigt temprature. Too hot or to cold will affect its ability to rise. If the water is to hot it will kill the yeast, and to cold it wont activate.

According to the manual I have on your machine your pan is held in place by the littile metal clips on 2 sides. Are you sure that when you push your pan down into place that it "clicks". If not it may be popping up because the clips aren't engaged. Be sure you push it down well until it snaps in place. If it still pops up you may want to use some kind of tool to push the clips a little further out so they grab your pan better.
