Sounds like a seal on the paddle shaft has failed and is allowing lubricant from the paddle shaft drive is entering into the baking/mixing chamber.

I have used a breadmaker. You have "crater bread" ? I suspect your final mixture is too wet. Reduce the amount of liquid in your recipe. The bread should stay firm and risen.

If you have a bread machine you can buy the ingredients at any grocery store in the baking aisle. Most stores even have the premade bread machine mixes.

as long as you are not using the delay timer. It is OK to put the flour, salt, sugar etc. in and put the liquid in last. As soon as you pour the liquid in push the start button. If your pan only leaks a little the fact that you are mixing right away with the flour on the bottom now will prevent any leaks. The only other answer it to replace your pan and they run about $20.00 After you push the start button don't forget to add the yeast in too.

Your drive belt may be broken. Turn the machine on its side.With your machine unplugged (important! safety first!)remove the paddle and pan and then remove the bottom panel off your machine using a screwdriver. The whole process takes 3-4 hours to complete. Did you give it that much time? Next time note how many hours are on the readout just before you push "START" and let the machine countdown to 0:00 on the clock before you assume something is wrong. If you did that last time and the bread wasn't baked then your machine is broken.

If the machine is not hot then your machine is defective. Since it is new you should return it to the store and get a refund.
