Norton's customer service has gone to hell along with their product. Try AVG antivirus. Don't do the download, but get an actual install disc from the store. That way you can re-install the program easy and quickly without having to re-download from the site if you have to reset your operating system. Also, some sites don't let you re-download the software after your hard drive crashes and you have to reload the operating system.

go to norton's website download the trial "test period" of the product

Try start up in Safe Mode press F8. Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, OR, System Restore, choose System Restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and got the Virus, and follow instructions. This should get you back to the time prior to opening the attachment and unleashing the virus. If this doesn't work. please let me know.

I don't see any direct numbers listed online which is a bit sad considering they're one of the most known Anti-Virus / Security companies around.

What they have instead is a Call Back page. Just fill in the information and someone will call you back.

In many ways that's actually easier on the customer...you won't have to stay on hold for an hour to speak with someone...they probably figure you'll be in a better mood if they can avoid this ;)

I find it appalling that they don’t give a phone number to contact them directly on their website you unfortunately have to fill out a form with your phone number to have them contact you . Here is the link to the form. I am sorry I could not be of more help to you.

norton should not slow down your systeam, a computer goes slow because there is to much stuff runing in the memory at the same time, or the harddrive is to full and it is going through everything to find the information, clean up your tempary files, do a disk defragment and you should notice a difference.

Is your Norton 360 licensed copy? If yes contact with them they will give solution. If not then googling for serial.

First of all make sure that the Norton360 is totally uninstalled from your PC following which run a software like TuneUp Utilities and clean your PC totally, then start and try to install your licenced copy.

If you have the subscription renewed, you should be able to download the software directly from symantec online. You'll need to activate it to use it so you may have to contact Symantec customer support.

May be a Bug in the software check forums for solutions , any sofware patches. also google search forums on line for support.

go to http://www.symantec.com and redownload the product also burn a copy on a blank CD you can get support if you get stuck. BTW wouldnt hurt to upgrade when your subsciption needs to renew I run 360 Premiere and 5 GB of backup, BTW I am a soon to grad with a Assoc in Info Technology I always try to answer in a professional manner this ones on me :-)

Ensure first that you do not have any other firewall or security software running along with the Norton. If there are you need to uninstall one of them. You should be running only one to ensure there will be no conflicts. You can identify it by looking at the icons on the lower right hand part of your screen at the task bar.

In the firewall section of Norton 360, check the program rules and check if Norton has made rules auto for the programs. It normally makes decisions for itself that it may have blocked your browser.
