Door switch has 2 wires.1black 1yellow. both disconnected. which goes where?

Hello Russell; My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician. Behind your control board you have 3 door contact switches. The top one is, "Normal" (Close operation), The middle one is, "Intermediate" (Closed operational), and the bottom switch is, "Door closed". Usually it make no difference if the wires are the same color. You need to do a trial and error. Connect the wires to the door switch. If the microwave does not work reverse them. You will not damage the microwave. Go into the following website, put in your model number located on a label on your microwave and you will get diagrams, and perhaps a wiring diagram. MY MICROWAVE IS BURNED ON THE BOTTOM UNDER THE

That kind of damage would not likely be covered under warranty. It's usually caused by accumulated moisture from spills or steam that is not wiped up when it occurs. The area will first have to be sanded smooth and cleaned and dried thoroughly. If the cavity metal of the oven is cracked or split, you can use a small amount of steel-based epoxy such as JB-WELD to patch the crack or hole.Once that dries thoroughly, you can sand it very smooth. Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

How to set power settings

Set the time as you normally would to cook your food: i.e. 60 seconds. Hit the power button; 100 will pop up on the screen, as in 100 % of power, enter 50 for 50% power, 70 for 70% etc. Food will cook more evenly this way, not burnt to a crisp on the outside, cold in the center.

The microwave does not heat, but it does power up.

Make sure that the program controller is working if not check power - step down supply, the pads are responding- if not faulty pads- or the door switches, if the switch contact are not good then it will not trigger the processor to switch on the waveguides. If the lights or fan work without any display or action of program being triggered to start then it can be a possible fault on the main board or the processor. Sometimes insect secretion can short the board and display panel and so the processor can work in such an erratic manner. If so clean, solder and reset the board. Now identify the parts by clicking this link: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/141/identifying-microwave-parts.html

If there is no heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron. Check this link to know how a microwave works:

http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/1443/how-a-microwave-oven-works.html

So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off. Check the wave guide covers, if food had deposited then it must be checked or replaced. See link: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/1146/how-to-replace-a-microwave-guide-cover.html

Now keeping clear of the microwave, switch on; use a cup of water inside to test. If you notice any sparks shut off as the magnetron or the main HT capacitor can be faulty. replace with same type. If there is heating without any issues, you can use the microwave safely

Rival MT660 Microwave/Toaster Oven Instruction Manual

I can't find a direct link to such. And sadly there are several links to webpages for this which appear to be malicious and might damage your computer.. Strange. However, you can look among the manuals on the Rival site and even if you don't spy one for your model, there may be one for a similar model there. Instruction Manuals ' Rival (rivalproducts.com) Perhaps their customer service might help find a similar one, as well.

How to bake pizza in rival micro wave .??how to set it?

Unless the pizza was specifically packaged for microwave use, pizza cooking in a microwave is usually a bad idea. They don't turn out well. Although microwaves are referred to as "ovens", they really don't bake things, they boil them by heating the moisture in the product. Thus, pizza crust will not rise and get crispy unless the pizza was pre-made to be microwave reheated. Those pizzas will give instructions on how to microwave them.
