Hi, Please wash the inside of the steamer with a mixture of 50% water and vinegar. You can use a brush to remove any mineral deposits. And if all else fails use heated water to pour into your device (you can double check this in your manual). Thank you.

Idc really what's better only cuz as of right now this is what I have a gift from a friend who recently passed, I need the book instructions on how to put it together cuz for one I've never put one together & 2 I dont have the book. So if anyone knows where to go to find out how to put together &/or the pieces needed cuz all I've got for my kirschmann water home still is the main piece fitted with inside the I think copper circling tubing,the top n bottom pieces with nothing else. Regarding the Black & Decker Iron. You all talk about how to put water in the iron but none answer the question how to do that? What part do we remove or open to change or put in the water? Question edited for clarity, guessing your iron is a 'Rowenta' and not a 'Rowner'. You need a multimeter to test the element for continuity and the switch / thermostat for correct operation.
