The letter F is coming up and draw not opening
Hi. Common problem. Sharp had a manufacturing defect in the drawer. The two white wires were not dressed behind the tray. The tray comes back and cuts through the wires over time. This causes the drawer drive circuit to short out. Sharp may still be covering this problem so check with a local dealer (The F means finalised or sale finished, so the drawer should open at that time). Great model but shame they got this wrong. Usually not too bad to fix but needs a tech.

If the F is at the left then it just means finalised or sale finished. This means the sale was completed normally. The drawer is probably not opening because that model had a factory fault where the back of the tray cut through the drawer wiring. If you take the tray out and check the two white wires inside, you may find one of them has a small cut in it. If so, it usually blows the drawer circuit and it will need a technician to fix it. There was a recall on them for this problem so check with a dealer as they may still do it for free. Great machine but this factory fault was a pain.

It sounds like you are seeing the time display. Turn the key to REG mode and try pressing CL (clear). If it doesn't beep, get the keyboard checked by a technician

Sharp era420 not printing on left side
If its feeding paper but not printing, make sure that you are using the correct thermal paper and that there is no extra bits of paper stuck under the printing head. Otherwise it might need a replacement printing head. If its not feeding the paper at all, then make sure that the receipt is turned on.
