I purchased a Fisher Paykel Ecosmart Top Load

Hi,

Check the hot water solenoid. It may go bad which causes the unit not to pull hot water. If the majority of laundry is done in cold water the smell is sure to come. Disassemble the machine to clean the inner basket and outer tub. Open the lid, remove the lid bumpers, remove two screws, raise the top (careful of the out-of-balance lever at the right-rear), unclip the bias spring from the front-left suspension strut, unsnap the tub ring, remove the agitator, the basket lifts out. Also if the water valve doesn't get power you have a bad pressure switch or control board.

Not agitating and wont spin or draining

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. If your washer doesn't drain or spin, you may read and learn what parts may cause this. First, you will want to check your water pump. You need to make sure it is working. Make sure you check the belt on the pump. Make sure it is not broken or loose. Also, make sure your pulley is not stuck in place. Sometimes, they will stick or barely turn at all. If this is the case, you will need to replace it. If the pump, pulley, and belt are working, make sure your motor is working. You should be able to hear it if it is. If it isn't, check your lid switch. The lid switch can cause the motor to not work. It may need adjusted. If not, go ahead and change it. A bad lid switch may cause the washer to not work at all. Now, if your pump is pumping and the washer still won't spin, you will want to check your belt and clutch. Once again, the belt may be broke or loose. Check to make sure your clutch is not worn also. This may be a case of a bad lid switch again as well. You could have a bad drive motor. This is what controls spinning, draining, and agitation. You could have a broken motor coupler. Over time, they will go bad and need replaced. It is possible that your transmission is slipping or damaged. And lastly, you could have a bad basket drive ir spin bearing. This is what allows the inner tub to move. If this is the case, you will probably hear loud sounds or loud banging. The agitation is controlled by the motor drive. You may have an issue with the control board. Take it off and see if you can visually see any damaged wires, burnt wires.

Washing machines got an error

is there any issues with the water filling? does it overfill, does the water not turn off and it begins to wash even while water is still pouring in? or fill very slowly like the water just trickles in? because im pretty sure not 100% with your model ive got no info on it but most F+P stuff has the same fault codes, but an error 49 is an issue with either the cold or hot water valve or both you may be lucky and its a dodgy wire come loose but if not and if you know how get a multimeter and measure the resistance of both valves if they check out all good you will need to replace the motor control module

WE have a F&P WA37T26G

Hi

The issue is with either the belt or the lid switch assembly. You can try to test the lid switch first with a voltmeter; if bad then it should be replaced. If the switch is fine then you will have to open the unit from back to replace the belt. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My washer will go throught

Hi

If nothing is clogged and the drain pump seems to be working fine, then the issue is with the lid switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. The unit is filling fine and will wash fine so the motor seems to be fine, but before starting the spin cycle the control receives a signal that the lid is not closed as the lid switch is bad and so won't start to spin. You can also check the lid switch for continuity before replacing. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My washing machie won't drai

Hi,
Check the drain pump in the machine whether it is working or not.(Part no 17 in bowl/Pump diagram)
Check whether the terminals to the pump is getting power..Check with the multimeter. If the terminals are not getting the power then the problem is with the main control board. You need to replace the board.
Here is the exploded view of the machine

Washer won't spin, keeps giving unbalanced alert

You probably have a faulty Out of Balance Switch. This is a little micro switch inside the control box underneath the main computer module, right hand side. You will need to remove the modle to get to it.

Leaks down back from top

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. You’ll need to check the leaks from taps, inlet hoses, inlet washers, water valves and mixing chamber. There should be no signs of water within the top deck area. Check for obvious signs of leaks in the stand pipes, drain hose, pump, and air bell. The pump can leak if the pump bracket is not secured properly. Check size setting of Smart drive is correct. Check that the high water level which should be 10-110mm from the top of the agitator to the water. If it is less than 10mm, then splashing may be a problem. Empty bowl, remove then refit pressure pipe to Motor Controller and test. If water level is outside these limits, replace Motor Controller. If all these fail the best way to check leaks is to fill the bowl with water and detergent and identify the leak point. If there is no service hatch, the feet may be fully extended. Otherwise it could be that Smart drive was overloaded or in a humid environment. Too much detergent could have been used. A new neck ring for the outer bowl will reduce ‘phantom’ suds leaks. Changing the impellor on the pump should also reduce the the leaks.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Becomes unbalanced easly and now wont spin

Sounds as though the Balance Weights have become dislodged? If this happens there are sensors that detect when it becomes out-of-balance, and shut it off to avoid any further damage.

Amber light farthest to left

You didn't give a specific model number. These lights indicate a fault.
Turn the power on at the power point and off at the console.
Press and hold the wash temp button down then the power button and wait for 2 beeps. Using spin spped up and spin speed down will then give you a bunch of different looks. Ok I think I found the problem. looking through all the fault codes I came across this binary 0010101 that would be 3 lights anyway. here is what it means: Pump blocked error. While draining the water pressur sensor did not read a drop in water pressure for 30 seconds.
Check your pump for strings coins and sand and check your hose for kink etc. I bet you would love to read this manual. happy holidays to you friend:
