Door release
If you can see a small slot beside the left side of the washing machine door, you can use a strong nail file and push the mechanical release tab within, a few pushes on the door to release the pressure due to the rubber seals on the door as you simultaneously push on the release tab within with your nail file would help . It takes some fiddling until you push the tab correctly. Good Luck.
ASKO w6884 Eco vibrate violently when spins
It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

I turn on my washing
Possible suspected part is the main program controller unit and you need to remove the plug for few hours to allow the machine to shut down fully. If there is no result then check the panel clean and reset connectors, if not try and swap a similar control board to confirm.
The washing machine goes through
Hi
The issue is with the drain pump that is clogged/kinked, as
it won't drain the water the door won't unlock. If this is a front load washer
then take the lower access panel out and clean the drain pump assembly. Hope
this helps...please post back with its complete model no for further assistance.

I PUT THE MACHINE ON
It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect. It seems highly possible that the controller board- the processor unit- is a suspect as all the display seems to light up indicating a error . Ideally it will be best to get a spare board to test and confirm before you order for one.
Finally remove the mainboard and clean all the contacts, make sure there is no moisture within. Also check all the wires to the board and to the door switch /motors. Keep the main plug removed for few hours and check again.-- to reset in case of a hang up of the processor. Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

Thank you for using fixya.
I have an ASKO front
There's a little door located on the lower left of the machine and behind it is the emergency drain hose, drain filter and the emergency door opener. Gently pull the loop attached to the cord until a click is heard then open the door.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
A couple of answers ;-0)
First- Sorry, this FixYa Washer Forum does not supply service centre numbers, engineers, spares or prices; it is just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home, from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)
Also members on Fixya are not 'affiliated' to, or representative of, any manufacturer at all, just using their experience gained probably over many years.
You will either have to search in your local telephone directories OR stay on line and search for '(make) washer service' and hope that you can find someone reasonably local.
Sorry again ;-0(
Now- please try the following as the symptoms are pointing towards a blocked filter ;-0)
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If these have assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Asko clothes washer front loader
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Possibly blocked filter.
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

I have an ASKO W6443
Hi.
First be sure that you reinstalled the knob correctly, and set the cycle to start before reapplying power.
Try also holding down the start/stop button for about five seconds. That will reset the machine.
Check if there is water inside the machine. If there is water the lights will flash because this will be detected as overflow in the start part of the cycle.
Disconnect power and empty the water following the steps below:
If that still does not help, then the timer may be damaged. In that case call the number listed on the owners manual.
Regards.

Hi,
My ASKO
Hi
This is because there is a leak from the main tank or drain pipe blocked. The power will get to the drain pump, when this happens. To prevent overflow on your kitchen floor dry out the water. Then it will start as usual. Actually water goes under the main tank, where all electric motors, pipes an pump are. There is sensor in that area that trigger the drain pump. It takes about 1/2" of water to trip the switch. Turns on the pump directly (i.e. not through the main switch). You will likely need to disconnect the breaker to get it to stop running. I've had to pull the unit out and tip it over to drain all the water if I'm in a hurry. To get at the lower basin you will either need to pull the unit out from the cabinet and reach it from the side/back - or if you take the front kick plate off it is somewhat accessible.
Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion. Thank you for contacting fixya.com
