How do I get the ovens working if the clock works, but they do not?

You'll have to make sure that the clock has been set for Manual cooking and not inadvertently set it on Auto. However if your breaker tripped because of a fault on your oven the internal switching of the timer may have been damaged as a result of the fault.

How do I use

First make sure you remove everything from inside the oven. Including the racks. Wipe up any large spills inside the oven.

here is how to use the Self-Clean Cycle
1. Close the door completely.
2. Select "UPPER OVEN" or "LOWER OVEN." "SELECT
MODE" will appear in the display for the selected oven.
3. Press "SELF CLEAN" from the oven function control panel.
4. Press "SET" or "ENTER." At this time, "SELF CLEAN" will
appear in the display. The door lock indicator light will
remain on until the Self-Clean is completed or interrupted
and the oven temperature drops to a safe temperature.
A complete cycle takes approximately 3 1/2 hours, with an
additional 30 minutes needed for the oven to cool down
enough for the door latch to disengage.
NOTE: A whirring fan noise will be heard during the Self-
Clean Cycle and will continue to run for the 3 1/2 hour
duration of the Self-Clean Cycle.
5. The timer will count down from 4 hours. When the cycle is
completed, press the "OFF" button for the selected oven.
6. When the oven has completely cooled, open the door and
remove any ash from the oven surfaces with a damp cloth.
7. To cancel or interrupt the self-cleaning cycle, press the
"OFF" button for the selected oven.

Clean light on oven light

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The locking of the oven is a safety measure while self clean function is activated. Once the oven has completed the cycle & has cooled down, then it will reset the door lock.

If a self clean oven door lock fails to open after the self clean cycle and sufficient cooling time has elapsed (approximately 1 hour), there are several things you can try.
  1. Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
  2. Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
If these procedures fail to correct the condition or you were not using the self clean cycle, then, the lock must usually be accessed and moved manually to open the door—

In order to open the door you have to open the control panel and remove the door lock.

Remove the three screws from the bottom of the control panel. You'll heed a 1/4" open wrench. Pull the bottom of the control panel toward yourself and push it up to release from the upper tabs.
The door lock is secured by the three screws.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

I am replacing the lower oven baking element.

They probably are loose wired unless you see a porcelain receiver for them... it is CHEAPER so they do it! Maintainability? None !!!

With power disconnected, you MIGHT be able to "fish" the leads back out and attach before mounting the element.

Viking oven VESO107CSS, tried to start cleaning mode, it would not start. Now the oven will not heat and the cleaning light is flashing

If your Viking oven VESO107CSS will not heat and the cleaning light is flashing, it's possible that the oven control board is experiencing a fault or malfunction. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Turn off the power to the oven: Before attempting any repairs or troubleshooting, make sure the power to the oven is turned off at the circuit breaker.
  2. Check the door lock: If the oven door is not properly locked, the cleaning cycle will not start. Check to make sure the door is securely locked.
  3. Check the oven control board: The control board may be experiencing a fault or malfunction. Try resetting the control board by turning off the power to the oven for a few minutes, and then turning it back on. If this does not work, the control board may need to be replaced.
  4. Check the thermal fuse: The thermal fuse is a safety device that protects the oven from overheating. If the fuse is blown, the oven will not heat. Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the fuse, and replace it if necessary.
  5. Check the heating element: If the heating element is damaged or burnt out, the oven will not heat. Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the element, and replace it if necessary.
If none of these steps solve the issue, it's recommended to contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance.
