Wireless speakers will not pair with the main unit

Hi,

TheSony Audio Interactive Radio Frequency (S-AIR) is a wireless digital audiotransmission signal that plays surround sound using a radio frequency that canbe placed anywhere that is convenient within the maximum communication distancewithout the signal breaking up. The system can transfer up to four channels ofCD quality (48kHz, 16 bits) audio data with no data compression.
You have to pair the S-Airunit with the Main HTS unit. When the sound transmission is not established, the indicator of the S-AIR sub unit does turnsoff, flashes or turns Red. Please try the steps mentioned below and checkif the issue can be resolved: · Make sure that there is no other S-Air unit nearthe one which you're using. If any, place it more than 8 meters (26 1/4 feet)away from the unit. · Make sure that the units that you are trying topair are within one meter (3 feet) of each other. · Confirm that the ID of the main unit and theS-AIR sub unit are set to the same ID. · You performed pairing the main unit and anotherS-AIR sub unit. Cancelpairing. · Install the S-AIR main unit and S-AIR sub unitaway from other wireless products. · Stop using another wireless product long enoughto confirm if the S-AIR main unit and S-AIR sub unit gets connected. · The S-AIR sub unit is turned off. We have a SONY DVD Home Theatre system

Each device has its own normal level for the signal. Usually they are set at the standardised value - 500mV - but sometimes some devices don't follow the standard. The only thing you can do is to check the connectors and use another cable - bad cables or connector can cause a big drop in signal level. If even after using a new, good quality cable that is a tight fit in the plugs - and these plugs themselves don't move around - then the only thing you can do is to set the maximum volume level higher to partially compensate for  that. You can find this option in the HDMI setup section in the MENU, labeled VOLUME LIMIT..

Low voices loud music

You could have the outputs of the DVD or whatever you are amplifying wrongly connected. The voices are in the center channels and if you have that section's volume turned down or simply not connected correctly then that could cause the problem. If the problem has just recently reared it head and was OK previously then still check the volume controls for center channels and if that doesn't cure it try a different set of center channel speakers to ensure you haven't damaged the old ones. Apart from that perhaps the amlifier is faulty.
