Electrolux AEQ8700F Electric Dryer Questions & Answers
Dryer goes to start then shuts off
Hi Johnny, thank you for your post!
Based on the symptoms you are describing, it sounds like your dryer possibly has a faulty motor or an item is jammed in the blower wheel. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would strongly recommend connecting with a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause. You can often locate a qualified service provider through the manufacturer website.
Best regards!
E60 and beeping
Good Afternoon Alannah, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
Typically error code E60 could potentially mean the heater relay has short circuited or there is a wiring malfunction. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would strongly recommend connecting with a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause. You can often locate a qualified service provider through the manufacturer website.
Frigidaire AEQ8700FGO dryer will run (and heat)
follow this steps and fix it. God bless youTimer
The timer could be the problem. To check this, turn the timer to a timed
cycle say 30 minutes or so then time it. If in 30 minutes the timer
hasn't moved and the dryer is still on, the timer is faulty replace it If in 30 minutes the dryer is off, the heating element is your problem
Heating Element
This is the most likely cause for some dryers timer not advancing. Some
dryers have two heating elements and if one goes out the timer will not
advance if you use it on an automatic cycle but you will still feel heat
inside the tub. Replace it
It will not start but flashes
Good Afternoon John, let's try reprogramming the dryer by
either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off
position. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then unit the
dryer back on. If it proves to be ineffective, then the dryer may possibly be
experiencing more serious issues such as; a potential wiring failure, faulty
control board, thermal limiter, or defective door switch. Because it could be a number of any one of several
underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly
diagnose and repair the unit.
E50 code dryer stops
E50 code is for a motor issue or main PCB fault on the motor output
side (also called E51 when the triac that is on the main control board normally shorts out due to a faulty motor).
Not easy to diagnose as a diy job, but you need to find out if the
drum rotates correctly when fully loaded. Could check this

The dryer hums as if it is going to start turning
Hello
& Welcome to FixYa
The
problem is with the belt that is broken; you can take it apart as shown in this
video to replace the belt yourself:
If
the belt is fine and the hum is coming from the motor area then the problem is
with the motor that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any
other questions.

Electrolux dryer reading clean filter
Hi
You have excess lint built up in your machine.
Pull out lint filter and with the aid of a brush gently clean inside of the cavity where your lint filter fits into. There is a little sensor in there which once it gets clogged it will register that message.

The dryer won't heat up?
Check the dryer dual breakers in your house electrical panel--push off, then on. Try the dryer again. If still no heat, measure the voltage at the dryer socket with a voltmeter across the two slanted slots. It should read ~220 volts AC if correct. If zero, one of the breakers is bad or there is a loose wire between the breaker and the dryer socket. If you read the required voltage, then the problem is within the dryer--likely the heating element. The drum must be removed to access the element.
My Electrolux dryer is throwing the code ehi
That is not a standard code. You won't find it on the Electrolux site. I can infer nothing from that. You can either try the general troubleshooting tips for Electrolux dryers OR try to contact Electrolux customer support. Since I have no access to whatever this code means, I can't assess the problem. Here is a troubleshooting video for Electrolux dryers:
