Trouble content When separating the primary transfer belt unit, change in the separation position sensor characteristics is not detected within the specified time. Section PCU Case 1 Cause Harness connection trouble between the PCU PWB and the separation position sensor Check and remedy Check the harness between the PCU PWB and the separation position sensor. Case 2 Cause The belt position sensor is not interrupted or it is always interrupted. Belt separation clutch operation trouble Check and remedy Use SIM6-3 to check the belt separation operation. The code refers to the black drum reaching the end of its life. Sometimes you will also have a VK code that is displayed along with the DK code. This refers to the black developer life. Both drum & developer have a life of 100,000 copies which is why you tend to get both codes at the same time. The maintenance code should still allow the copier to photocopy & scan as normal, so if the copy quality is still OK then the machine should continue as usual & the codes are reset when the drum & developer are replaced. If you have a problem printing to the copier from a PC when the maintenance codes are displayed then this can be rectified 2 ways. The 1st way is to have the parts replaced & the counters reset. The 2nd way is to turn off SNMP setting within the printer driver. If you open printers & devices & locate your printer. Right click on the printer & scroll down to printer properties half way down the list (not the properties at the bottom of the list). The third tab along the top should be Ports. Click this tab & this will show the port details of your printer. Click on configure port & this will open another box. At the bottom of the box to the left there is a tick box with SMNP enable. If the box has a tick in it, untick the box, click apply then close all the open windows. This allows the printer to print when the machine displays maintenance codes. Hope this helps. Dave.

Hi, This error is due to a small grey arm, approximately 2 inches long, that has been removed from the delivery assembly of the machine. This is a common occurrence where by the operator reaches in to remove copied or printed documents & accidently dislodges the arm. If you look at the rear of the centre tray you may find the detached arm. The arm clips into a small black hinged projection located in the centre of the delivery assembly in the upper part of the machine within the centre tray area. You will need a torch or other light source to see into the delivery unit. The unit itself slides back & forth as part of the delivery assembly & is the mechanism that provides the offset feature of sorting. If the arm cannot be located then, unfortunately, you would require a dealer to provide a replacement arm. Hope this helps.

Are you sure your printer is correctly set up? Is your default printer the proper printer or maybe it's a virtual printer? Check what device are you using to print

make sure that the driver for the printer is installed ( cd or from on line ) in the computer in the control panel under add a printer make sure that the printer is set as default
