have you tried resetting the unit

hold the power button for at least 5 seconds, this will force the unit to turn off.
turn it back on
unplug the power cord
wait at least 5 seconds
plu it back in

the chipset contains all the codecs which are unique to that processor, you cant do much but purchase a media player that supports the formats you require.

you bought it new ... every new prodycts should come with warranty therefore best advice take it down to where ever you bought it from

Check the progressive scan option on your DVD player. If set to off, turn it on and the problem should go away.

You probably need to be a bit clearer as to what you want. But the f (function) key on the unit allows you to change the input To ARC if you have it set up. If you switch off your TV /stereo using the TV remote only this should shut down both. When you turn it on again both should turn on with the sound routed through your stereo ( when you turn on you need to wait a short while while the stereo starts up)

I would say yes, from what the manual says, the LG HT356SD has some Unique Features: #1 Portable In : Listens to music from your portable device. To stop recording, press Z STOP.

You may need to use an optical cable between the tv and the stereo. (TV out/Optical in)

Is it the disk? A good sized scratch or a dirty disk will do the same thing. If it's not that, then buy a DVD cleaner disk at a stereo store. Cheaper and 9/10 times, that's the prob.
